  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I recently purchased a 2019 g70 and love it. The nav needed updating and so I downloaded the updater and loaded the update onto a 32 gig thumb drive. Now I'm getting a "nav not available, check SD card" message. The update also changed the look of the entire gui, not sure if I like it but that's not really an issue.

Should it have been downloaded to the SD card? Don't know about yours, but on many other models you use the SD, not a thumb drive.

Yeah, the directions on the updater were not clear on this point; it indicated both are OK in one spot but specifically mentioned only the SD card in another. So I'm thinking one option would be to update again via an SD card.

You use the SD card to do the update

Yes. In fact, the folder inside the ZIP file that you copy over to the USB thumb drive is titled "DAUDIO". I just did the upgrade for my non-NAV infotainment.

I received the same error after starting with the SD card inserted. Going through the setup menus as described in the instructions completed the update.

GUI is now different and I have lost my radio presets. Not sure if I did something wrong or if this is part of the map update.
