  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi guys,
Apologies in advance if this question has already been asked. I’m trying to replace thr crank sensor for on my 2015 5.0. Does anyone have any information on where I can find the sensor on the car? Any sort of diagram would greatly help.

Thank you guys.

It is located under the driver side valve cover near the firewall on the bellhousing. Number (6) in diagram

You can actually see the crank sensor under the camshaft sensor(A) on the bell housing in this pic.

This is under the car correct?

Is this the 5.0 or 3.8?
It is a 2015 5.0 Genesis model. The pic is looking down from the engine bay from up top. I believe you will have reach down remove the crank sensor from above. However, it could also be reach from the bottom maybe. I did not remove my crank sensor; only my camshaft sensors.

I have a 2015 also. That’s gonna be pain in the ass to take off lol. Thank you man.

No problem. I probably should replace my crank sensor as well while I got the chance since it does require removing a lot of crap to get to it.
