  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Okay, so I know there are a few threads on here about this for the 2015s, but what is the easiest way?

I saw this one: 2015 Genesis LED strip as bright DRL instead of amber

This is probably the best I’ve seen so far but it is complicated and it makes the drls still stay on in the off position, and the wires look tacky.

So, is there any easier way to do it where all the lights are off in the drl off position, the led drls are on during the day in auto, the parking light leds are on in the parking lamp position, and the leds are dim when headlights are on?

I had seen somewhere that it might be possible through a software update. So, how can I get LED DRLs on my 2015 that work completely like stock without the messy wires?

I'm planning on buying a '15 soon, and I've been thinking about trying that mod. It is intimidating as someone who has zero electrical experience. I think I understand it well enough, but I'm still afraid of messing something up. As I understand it, the led strips are missing a wire that controls their drl function, so a software update of some kind isn't going to do it without at least some new wiring.

Semi-related question, what are people running for led replacements for the incandescents now? Has anyone used these as a drop-in replacement? 50 LED HIGH VISIBILITY AMBER 1157 + HYPERFLASH FIX
They're pretty pricy, I'm not sure how worth it they would be versus just getting long life incandescents.

I just leave my light selector on the parking light selection. Gives me exactly the look I want. Since the lights turn off when the car turns off, the only time it's not set to the parking lights is at night when I switch to full headlights.

Other way is to install 2016 light fixtures. They are LED
