Driver side front window just stopped working.

Jumped in the car a few days ago and realized that my driver side window wasn't working. No warning or anything, just stopped working. All of the other windows are working fine. I can see that all of the indicator lights (little light that's on each switch) is lit, including that driver side window. I can hear all of the other switches engage when pushed in the opposite direction accept for the driver side window. I'm wondering if that one switch can be replaced or does the entire cluster have to be changed? Is there a way to pull the cluster from the top or does the entire panel have to come off?

Are you sure it is the switch? Could be the motor. Check to see if power is going to it when you push the switch.

Meantime get a good insulated cup for home brew coffee as it is not easy going through Dunkin if the window does not work.

That very well could be my problem. I mentioned that "I could hear the other switches engage when pushed in the opposite direction". I believe this is what you're referring to when you suggest to " check to see if power going to it". I hear nothing when pressing the driver side switch.

Regarding the home brew, you're exactly right. I've had the Keurig fired up for the last few days. Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated.

I've read on this forum that the window switches can go intermittent. Tapping the door near the window switches has helped. I've experienced this on my 2012 5.0.

More often than not, water intrusion affects the driver's door switch operation. Solution is to remove the door card, clean and lubricate all plugs/contacts with dielectric grease, and repair/replace water control barrier for the door. If a switch has indeed failed (not common) repair or replace as appropriate.

On some older cars he contacts get corroded and you can disassemble the switch to clean them. This is not case on the Genesis. It uses a circuit board to control the operation. I got a used one off of ebay to replace mine.

Update: Problem resolved! Removed the door cover and cleaned the switch contacts and that did it. Working fine now. Thanks for your help everyone!

You disassembled the switch? Or cleaned the connector contacts?

Thanks for posting this fix! I had the exact same symptoms yesterday and resolved it today by improving the electrical connection to the window regulator. Although I didn't hear it clicking at first, once I removed the door panel, I could then hear a faint clicking within the regulator. Once the connections were reseated multiple times, the window started working.
