What Future Content Would You Like To See On The First Cycle Refresh For The GV70?

HMG usually alters somewhat their vehicles during the 3rd year of said vehicles life. What items would y’all like to see available on the 2024 GV70?

My list is easy:

1.) Matrix Headlights (NHTSA OK’d it, where’s it at?)
2.) Augmented Reality Navigation
3.) (The Missing) Sand/Mud Terrain Modes
4.) UHP tires as OEM.


For those that contribute, know I’ve changed my ways and I promise not to comment on every reply, like I did on my Custom Drive Modes thread. Sorry ‘bout that. I de-railed a good thread I did by being too...

Anyways….What’s on your wish list for the 2024 GV70?

2. Black/Charcoal quilted seats with red stitching and red seatbelts
3. Rear-cooled/ventilated seats
4. HUD that works with polarized sunglasses
5. Variable exhaust
6. Hybrid integration into existing drivetrain
7. Siberian Ice exterior color
8. Builtin dashcam
9. HDAII or better autonomous driving

The purpose of polarized glasses is to reduce or eliminate the horizontal reflected light. The HUD is based on reflected light off the windshield. Not sure how you would create a heads up display that isn't light reflected off the windshield and thus impacted by polarized glasses.

Trust me, I know all about how polarization works. I should have been a bit more explicit as I was referring to the DLP-based HUD that works with polarized sunglasses. See the link below.

I'd like to see Canadian models get the same features/options everybody else gets! Digital key options, better options on the 2.5T Prestige trims, OTA updates, more functional mobile app, etc.

Also, the features that Korea has such as:
* Augmented Reality Navigation (mentioned above)
* Dash cam integrated into camera system

Others:
* Walk away locking feature (locks automatically when the key fob is more than x feet away)
* Improved blind spot view monitoring cameras/frame rate
* Less interference from other vehicles' ultrasonic sensors
* Another inch of leg room in the back seats - even if it costs an inch in the cargo area
* Sensors on the back doors to lock/unlock

And finally, somebody has to mention:
* Wireless AA/Car Play

I love the concept of the Augmented Reality, however I don't think such an option is available in the US due to the NHTSA.

Definitely:

• Wireless CarPlay
• Integrated Camera System / Dash Cam
• Better Dealer/Service Network
• More mix and match color options. I love the Havana Brown interior but not sure why they limit the exterior colors with this so much.
• Full Digital Dash optional on the Advanced Trims

Curious if you could expand on “More functional mobile app”? Also as someone who has orders a GV70 2.5 Advanced plus and hoping it arrives by April 2023, it does not have the walkaway auto lock function?..

Canada, we don't get options like sending a destination from your phone to the car...we have a completely different app. It does a few things but we always get shorted. If you use Android Auto and select a destination on your phone, when you plug it into the car, it does come up in AA though.

No, it does not have walk away lock...it will eventually send you a notification from the app that your doors are unlocked...so why not just lock them then?

Massaging seats on both driver and passenger..... Auto lock when walking away.... more reliable technology.... i.e don't text me my car is not locked when it is, when I remote start my car... be running when I get outside 2 minutes later....

What would you be willing to pay for the seats?

The more reliable technology should be free. The lag for start is ridiculous. I like my aftermarket remote that takes five seconds.

Extend the range of the key fob remote start. 30' is too short. My Caddy XT4 is 100'.

Problem is, cars no longer have options like years ago. You choose a package or the next model up, often to get that one feature you really want.

I really like the HUD in my car. On the G80, to get it I have to spend $13,000 more to get the 3.5 that has it. My other option is to buy a Sonata for 30K less. Guess what my next car will be. I can't justify a new G80 as I drive much less.

Would be nice to be able to customize but that would come at a cost too.
