  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When i purchased my car the passenger side mirror had been chipped and the chrome had been snagged on something, i got lucky and found a perfect match on ebay..Is replacing the mirror and having access to the bolts as simple as removing the or does the whole door panel have to be removed to get to them?.....thanks in advance

Stinger and G70 do share some components and removal of some parts will be very similar so don’t discount that just yet. Any electric side mirror I’ve taken off required the door panel to come off either for bolts or for the wire harness to be disconnected down inside the door. Door panels are generally not a big deal but not breaking a plastic push-connector while unsnapping everything can be a bitch. There have also been discussions here on mirror gear replacement that when they break mirror removal is require so those discussions may have some tips too.

Thanks for the reply, they do share similarities I agree but on the g70 the mirrors are mounted on the door pillar, and the stingers are mounted on the door

Most mirrors are bolted from inside the door, or they'd get stolen all the time. No way around that. So ask for instructions how to remove the door panel instead :). The mirror as a whole should be easy to figure out after that, I assume. But if you need to remove another internal part, which would require removing the glass part first, then I'd also ask for directions how exactly to pop it out. Good luck.
