  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Reported Issues with the Genesis GV60

I suppose it depends on how you distinguish between the two. My paperwork refers to it as a recall, but my definition of a recall would require a communication to owners encouraging them to bring the vehicle in - which didn't appear to happen in this case. However, my understanding of a TSB is that is just a communication to dealers that describes how to address a common issue.
What happened in this case seems to be something in between - where they executed some work on the vehicle even though I did not report either of the related concerns.
Thanks. My experience with other manufacturers is that sometimes they will tell dealers if they happen to be servicing one of a group of cars to inspect and/or perform a certain procedure. I've seen this with non-safety related issues. Perhaps one of the reasons they do this is to avoid the negative publicity of a recall.

So. took delivery in July. Last week when it got a bit colder, my car started squealing when I put it in reverse. Just for a second when I was at the end of turning the dial. Anyone else? What might cause this?

I suspect brake pads on rotors? But I’m not able to listen to your particular squeal to be sure. 😂 I assume you mean as you are slowing to end your reversing manouver?

No not that. i am in park and turning the dial to reverse and when I do so it sounds loud and like metal scraping together. It is very short and stops as soon as I realease the dial

Yes, could be the release of the parking brake that happens at the same time. You can try releasing and engaging the parking brake with the switch to the left of the steering wheel.

Got GV60 two weeks ago, driven more than 1000 miles and like the car so far. I had so far faced 2 issues:
1. Apple CarPlay connection issues - after changing the cable haven't experienced it.
2. Heads Up display alignment constantly changes, believe projector is not secured properly. Need to fix an appointment and take it to the dealer.

What do you mean by “alignment”?

Even after I set rotation to -5, display projection is still tilted not straight.
This happens to everyone. It’s about the reflection of the image in the curved windshield, your seating position/ viewing angle will impact how things appear.

Oh, good to know. Thanks 🙏.

Thank you. I will try that.

I have a non performance version, so regular power seats. When I go to the seat adjustment screen it only highlights the passenger seat as being adjustable from the screen. I have it in park, I can adjust the driver seat manually, but it does not put the outline on the screen around the driver seat.
I don't think you can do anything by screen that you can't do with the regular seat switches, more just curious.

Check Tesla, Rivian and Lucid and these issues are common now a days. Tesla has changed the car buyers expectations forever that EV's will have post purchase issues and deal with it. Doesn't matter its 25K or 200K car.
I was planning on buying a Lucid Air Pure and have been on the waiting list for more than a year and have been active on the Lucid owners forum. I can confirm that there were many, many more issues with the Lucid (I actually prefer a smaller can and when this one popped up I grabbed it instead of waiting for the Lucid).

Mine too - I love the damm thing but cannot get the tilt enough for my preference.

It seems to be dependent on head position. My display is tilted slightly, but if I lower my head a few inches it becomes perfectly straight. Maybe the curvature of the windshield has something to do with it.

This happened to me this week (~5 degrees C weather). It was raining on my drive, so I figured it was due to moisture in the brakes (but it was definitely more audible and annoying than prior cars I've owned). Will keep an ear for same in dryer conditions over the next week.
