  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

First half of the trip.... 161 miles....58% charge used. Almost entirely Broads and Motorways. Heating on whole way. Av temp of 1°. Charged phone and watch. Snowed about 1/4 of the trip. Well happy with that. Average speed of maybe 55mph. Significant elevation changes with an overall efficiency average of 3.4m/kwh.
So its quite tropical where you are! :)
I was greeted with -29C or -20F this morning . HVAC peaked at 6.8 kWh, used 40% of the power for just climate on my ride to work, got a stunning 2.2 km/kWh (1.375 m/kWh) overall consumption at end of my trip. This was after car's cabin was prewarmed to to 24C for 30 minutes prior to departure. The shocks were a little stiff but the car was a champ otherwise.

Damn....brutal... yea Canada winters are definitely worse then here ... contrary to popular belief, Scotland is pretty mild. Worst we get down to is about -10°. Not too shabby. Can't complain. I just had no idea how much drop in efficiency to expect for my first drive and a long and remote one at that. No superfast chargers on this route at all....and over a mountain range. Was a great test run but to cure range anxiety.

That is a great first run, congratulations on the new ride. Despite the relatively lower temperature I can also appreciate how miserable -10C in higher humidity environment like in Scotland can be( my wife is from Largs :) )

Haha true. -10 ain't actually bad.... because its too cold for rain....0-2° but with rain/hail and windy....now that's brutal for me. So much worse 😅🥶. I'm actually from Australia....the hottest and most remote part....So scotland a pretty big change. I don't think I could handle too much colder then here. 🤣

I've seen a few days at -20C, climate seems to run 3.5 - 4.0kW at that temperature. I've found that the short trips show the worst consumption as the system consumes a lot of energy to get things up to temperature.

Its pretty cold today, battery care(PTC battery heater) came on today for my first time with an eGMP vehicle. Not to be confused with DC battery pre conditioning. Had a look with carscanner, it appears the magic temperature for the coldest battery pack has to be -15C before for the BMS triggers it's self protection mode. It turned the heater off once the coldest pack reached -14C.

I'm off to Oz for 3 weeks on the 17th Dec! Hoping to come back to my new GV60 1st day home! Going to be much warmer in Oz than it is here!

Haha winter in uk...to summer in aus. You're brave hahaa. I don't think I could survive aus summers anymore...where I am from it used to be 50°C quite often over summer....absolutely brutal 😅🤣

Just looked at my consumption for yesterday's drive...quite shocked. Car was saying average of between 3.4 and 3.5 miles per kwh. However total journey breakdown says 3.9.... very impressed with range. Screenshot_20221208_091337_Gallery.webp

Melbourne for Xmas & Sydney for NY. I have friends up in Cairns and Townsville but the friend from Cairns is from Melbourne originally and flying down to meet up in Melbourne

@Looney100
I think it should be a right hand drive.
Yes. That was the joke. You can see the nav system text is mirrored in my “corrected“ photo.
As they say, if you need to explain your joke, it wasn’t a good one. :)

I have these mats, they fit great, and a great price.
I just installed these and they're quite adequate. Only thing I wish is that they were color matched to the stock mats.

I wish for 3.9 m/kWh....i average 2.9

Installed protective film on the infotainment screen (only), something I’d highly recommend, as when cleaning it some slight scratches were visible, & modified an Ionic 5 ProClip mount to fit our display. Pretty pleased with both results.

Hey! If you can get me some dimensions of that mount I might be able to design and 3d print a phone mount 👍

Pretty hard now that it’s mounted. If I take photos with a machinist’s rule, can you get some dimensions from that ? A vernier may not fit very well.

Yeah that might work. Cheers. I get mine in a few weeks so I can get some dimensions of the screen size then and maybe take it from there. Prototype it out. 👍
