  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This is a VERY nice vehicle that I've seen quite often in the Caribbean.. I have no idea WHY it's not available here in America. I'm not sure if the bottom pictures are concepts or pictures of a redesigned Terracan - but it's a Terracan either way...

Ah, the Terracan. I remember that car. Though it wasn't availiable when I was still living in Korea. The bottom one suppose to be the newer, replacement, Not sure if it is a concept, but I think it's the very one that is currently being sold in Korea. The above one however, is an older version and I believe it was pretty much a modified version of an existing Japanese model(Can't remember the name of it), or so that is rumorred. I guess they didn't export it for it wasn't really 100% Hyundai, for it was just a percentage Korean. Although, I maybe wrong as well.

That is a really nice car! I sure hope they bring that car to the U.S.! I'm more of a truck person, so I might get that over the Genesis. Looks like a nice ride. If they put a diesel or hybrid engine in it I bet it would get really good mpg. Add the Terracan, along with the Genesis, and people will really start thinking differently about Hyundai.

I even like the "old" model. Kind of looks like a Range Rover. The should replace the Sante Fe with the new Terracan. The Sante Fe is an ugly SUV.

They're all very nice and I bet they'd sell well here.. The new one And the old one. The new one is REALLY nice looking - though maybe smaller looking? I wonder. I don't have the dimensions.. They could surely have replaced the Santa Fe with the older Terracan...

The Terracan (older model) reminds me a little of a Toyota Land Cruiser or Lexus LX470...

Yeah, the new borrego also looks like a Toyota land cruiser, only uglier.

The Boreggo kind of looks like a Ford Escape. I actually have an Escape, and my parents have a Kia Sorrento. I like our Escape, but I actually think the Sorrento drive smoother and quieter, and they paid less for it.

They really need to bring the Terracan to the states. That SUV will sell!

I like the Terracan (old and new) but I really don't like the Borrego...

Well, Borrego is rumorred to get the Hyundai Genesis's V8 engine as one of the optional engine for the US bound models, or it could be the one that is being used on the Veracruz. It is rumorred to be the luxury SUV of Kia. Kia's own version of the Veracruz.
It's probably going to be an excellent vehicle - I'm just not crazy about the styling.. It may grow on me, however..

Is there a way to petition Hyundai to bring the new Terracan to the states?

Well, about the only way would be to e-mail the HMA of California, though that won't really do anything since the headquarter in Korea probably made the Terracon only for the Korean home market. Since the US line-up already have 2 SUVs(Santa fe, and Veracruz), I don't think they will consider bringing in the 3rd SUV to North America. I think it is about the size of Santa Fe, and since it is in the same segment, I don't think it has a feasible room in US line up.

Hyundai should just REPLACE the Santa Fe with the Terracan, then...
