  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

No, IMO it’s mostly about some stations week reception.

Have you ever found a FM station with an even number? I don’t believe there are any in the US.

Correct
Every FM center frequency ends with a decimal extension of .1, .3, .5, .7, or .9.

To convert FM channel numbers to/from a corresponding frequency, use the table in Section 73.201 of the FCC's Rules, or a conversion tool.

The FM broadcast in the United States starts at 88.0 MHz and ends at 108.0 MHz. The band is divided into 100 channels, each 200 kHz (0.2 MHz) wide. The center frequency is located at 1/2 the bandwidth of the FM Channel, or 100 kHz (0.1 MHz) up from the lower end of the channel.

From Why Do FM Frequencies End in an Odd Decimal?

The FM broadcast in the United States starts at 88.0 MHz and ends at 108.0 MHz. The band is divided into 100 channels, each 200 kHz (0.2 MHz) wide. The center frequency is located at 1/2 the bandwidth of the FM Channel, or 100 kHz (0.1 MHz) up from the lower end of the channel. For example, the center frequency for Channel 201 (the first FM channel) is 88.0 MHz + 0.1 MHz = 88.1 MHz.
The rest of North America uses this same format. Digital FM radios in the North American market will generally only have the ability to tune in odd increments. Other countries may use a different frequency range as well as a 100 kHz or even 50 kHz wide channel. So radios programmed for those areas may have the ability to tune to even numbered channels.

No, and apparently I guess I misunderstood what was being ask. As I have found it hard to pull up some stations by using voice command but can pull them up manually,
There are also some stations you can fast forward to with no problems, but others you have to manually scroll to bring up.
Sorry I misunderstood the question.

The ones you can fast forward to probably have enough signal to be detected so it stops.
Older radios used to have two buttons, Seek and Scan. Seek took it to the next programmed station you had set. Scan took it to the next signal it could find.

There are countries that have FM stations that ends in even numbers as well, depending on whether they permit 100kHz spacing. Some aftermarket car stereo have a way to set spacing. Dunno if these OEM systems have it.

What country are you in? There are no even number stations in the US. If you are in a country that actually has even numbered stations, your dealer will need to change the country coding on the radio. Once done, it will no longer tune to the odd numbered frequencies.
