  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is 100 miles too far from a Genesis dealer for service?

I'm torn between getting a GV70 or getting an Acura RDX. The nearest Genesis dealer is actually 80 miles away but seems more like it is 100 miles because it is near sea level and I would have to drive over a 7000' pass twice to get there and back. (Tahoe to Sacramento, CA) Hyundai and Acura dealers are about 40 miles away in Reno, NV.

Also, would the Hyundai dealer do the warranty service of a Genesis and repairs?

Thanks,
Doug

At that distance you won't get the concierge pickup. Most dealers have a limit of 25 to 50 miles. I'd not count on the Hyundai dealer for warranty service Only some can do it.

Comes do to your willingless to drive the 100 miles for service. I don't know the roads and traffic there, could be a nice ride or could be a PITA. Up to you.
