  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What Future Content Would You Like To See On The First Cycle Refresh For The GV70?

I was curious about this as I can't find AR nav view on my GV70. So, this option isn't avaiable in the U.S.?

I believe that it is Korea only. Definitely not US or Canada.

Not sure about other markets

I'd like to see Canadian models get the same features/options everybody else gets! Digital key options, better options on the 2.5T Prestige trims, OTA updates, more functional mobile app, etc.

Also, the features that Korea has such as:
* Augmented Reality Navigation (mentioned above)
* Dash cam integrated into camera system

Others:
* Walk away locking feature (locks automatically when the key fob is more than x feet away)
* Improved blind spot view monitoring cameras/frame rate
* Less interference from other vehicles' ultrasonic sensors
* Another inch of leg room in the back seats - even if it costs an inch in the cargo area
* Sensors on the back doors to lock/unlock

And finally, somebody has to mention:
* Wireless AA/Car Play
Currently it sems if a rear occupant unlocked his/her door, it unlocks ALL 4 doors. I wish this was not the case and that only that specific rear door was unlocked.

In

Canada, we don't get options like sending a destination from your phone to the car...we have a completely different app. It does a few things but we always get shorted. If you use Android Auto and select a destination on your phone, when you plug it into the car, it does come up in AA though.

No, it does not have walk away lock...it will eventually send you a notification from the app that your doors are unlocked...so why not just lock them then?
I agree... if you turn off car, open/close doors and walk away with key fob on person, all doors should auto-lock after a pre-determined set time.

Actually just the North American market doesn’t get it. I believe their excuse was it was a NHTSA issue. But I believe the Feds gave thumbs up on this, so I’m actually not sure why, maybe chip supply?

I have 2 things;
1. The ability to adjust the delay for the proximity rear hatch opener. I had to turn it off because I couldn't walk past it to my car to enter it without it opening.

2. And I would like to see the rear passenger door lockout button move somewhere less accessible. I hit it all the time since it is the first button on the driver's door panel.

  • Wireless CarPlay/AndroidAuto. Hyundai and Kia have it but not Genesis?
  • Availability of adaptive suspension with the 2.5T engine. Why is this available in Canada but not the US?
  • Ability to clean/change wiper blades without starting and stopping the engine.
  • I know the “overbite” of the hood is a design choice, and it looks fine, but when I get the car washed a lot of soap foam get trapped under the hood and doesn't seem to get washed out when they hose it off. The car looks fine until I drive away and the rush of air drives the remaining suds out and it looks like the car has rabies.

Canada doesn't have adaptive suspension for the 2.5T either. I have the 2.5T Prestige - I don't have it.

The U.S. has 21" wheels and fully digital display for the 2.5T Prestige - we have 19" and analog/digital dash - but have a HUD.

For the 2.5T Prestige - US I'd love to see the mesh inserts replaced (ideally with Nappa leather, but just the leather in the 2.5 T Advanced would be a step up over mesh in my book), I'd love 19" wheels instead of 21" for mileage, and a distant third I'd like to see an HUD on it. Oh, the massage seat for the passenger would be a bonus, too.

If you get a Canadian model you would get most of that...

For me, if there's one feature I'd really like to be enabled, it's the dash cam.

I wouldn't even mind paying extra to have it enabled (I think that you have to do that to get it enabled in Korea anyways?).

They already have all the software, but it's just not available for Canada/US :/

You don't think you paid enough for your Genesis to warrant this being part of whatever package you purchased?

I don't think they have the additional lens on the windshield that they use for the dashcam in Korea...from pictures/videos I've seen. So I don't think we have the hardware. Check out the dashcam discussions on this forum - you'll find everything you need there.

Full black trim on the sport models - window trim, door handle trim, grille and surround, wing badge, tailgate script and exhaust finishers. Think Alfa Stelvio Estrema. Much better to my eye than the current mish-mash of smoked chrome grille surround, window trim and door handle trim, regular chrome on the wing badge, tailgate script and exhaust finishers and gloss black roof rails.

I’d like to see them change how they do the trims/packages. I don’t like the way they do it in the US. I want the HUD and the digital gauges, so I’d have to get the top 3.5T Sport Prestige. The 2.5T Sport Prestige has the digital gauges, but no HUD and I don’t like the mesh seats. The HUD and digital gauges should probably be included on the 2.5T Advanced package and up. The refreshed Lincoln Corsair now has digital gauges standard on all trims, you can option the HUD on the base model, and it starts at $38k. Not that I’m considering the Corsair.

Lowered or adjustable height suspension. 90%+ people don't go off roading.

I was just thinking as regards to the Analog Dash, I would prefer that the Speedometer be digital and the Tachometer be analog.

Personal preference

The option to remain in previously selected drive mode on car restart vs defaulting back to Comfort mode.

1. The vehicle as a whole is very well executed, don't mess it up.
2. Clean up the software, meaning simplify and quicker response.
3. Improve driver assist functions, meaning rid the system pulsing with dashed street markings.
4. More horsepower please.
5. Lower the ride height a tish, pretty big gap between tire and molding.
6. Wireless Appleplay please, including existing vehicles.
7. Lower valance driving lights would be a stylish addition along with functionality.
8. Add massage option for passenger seat and heat for rear seats.
Finally a high power laser to blast the slow vehicles that are always getting in my way!
