If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi - I am about to pick up my new GV70 2.5T Advanced Plus, it will come with a set of all-seasons. I am trading in my 2015 Volvo XC60 but want to know if my existing winter wheels can be used for Winter tires.

According to wheel-size.com, my OE volvo 18 inches is 235/60R18 7.5Jx18 ET55
wheel-size.com/size/volvo/xc60/2015/#trim-i-facelift-2013-2017-eudm-t5--250

And Genesis GV70 askes for 8Jx18 ET39. The numbers certainly look difference, so I am not sure if it will fit.

Alternatively, I will sell my extra volvo tires on kijiji and get a new set of genesis OEM winter. thoughts? If I am getting a new one, I would like to see if I can get a "matte black" rim, any suggestions?

Thanks, Allen

Won't fit...different bolt pattern, and likely different size centre bore hole. Also, the offset is so high, may clip the caliper.

If you get aftermarket, recommend you check with reputable site or tire shop to ensure they are approved to fit. The monoblock brakes are big and often people think that because size of wheel and offset match, it will fit. However, they don't consider that the design of the spokes may come in contact with the brake caliper however. Best is to fit it on the vehicle, but that is rarely doable or practical unless you go to a retail store and they have what you want in stock, and willing to do so.

strongly suggest staying away from matte if you're finicky about what they look like when clean. It's a pain to maintain on the body alone, and wheels is much worse due to the abuse they take from road grit, brake dust etc. Made the mistake with the DUB wheels I purchased for my F150. Face was double dark tint machine, but side of spokes and inside wheel was matte black. Loved the wheels, but wished the black was satin. Swore I would never go near matte paint again. If stuck on matte, get a good coating approved for matte paint on them before you even mount the tires.

Thank you! I have decided to just buy an OEM winter tire package from Genesis and will just put my Volvo set on kijiji.
