Rack and Pinion for Hyundai Genensis 2016 AWD

Hello fellow Genesis owners,

About a year ago my car was in an accident and was damaged in the front. Insurance covered everything and all was good. Now a year later, I am having issues with the Rack and Pinion (showed it to a mechanic, makes clunking sound when turning steering to any side). The rubber protector at the end has torn.

I have looked online and a new Rack and Pinion is about $3800. I have looked for remanufactured ones and they have been impossible to locate. I have called a few junkyards but so far no luck.

I did try to buy it for buyautoparts.com (horrible experience) but that did not work out. Is anyone here selling one or can recommend where I could potentially find one? I am located in Atlanta, Georgia.

Any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks y'all.

Damn, the AWD rack does cost a lot to replace.

Here is the cheapest I found on Ebay. I can not even find any salvage AWD units online.

I think that I may have found an affordable winner for you. It states that it is a AWD G90 rack ,but it is listed to fit AWD 2015-2017 5.0 and 3.8 models. I would grab this quickly.

the little cheaper option was for the $2900 of course. Let me see this other link

No problem!!!

I hope that it actually fits as described in the listing. It is probably cheap due to a low demand since the Genesis electric power steering racks seem pretty reliable. I can imagined that the G90 racks are not in high demand either.

However, I think that the price in the posting may be incorrect and slipped by unnoticed by the company.

It probably should have been listed at $3890.56 not $389.56.

So after a week of waiting for the part and still receiving nothing from the seller, I contacted them and they canceled the order (only after I contacted them asking for the status). They were stating a processing error. Yeah right. Now they are selling the part for $2900.
Back to square one.

Sorry man. I guess was I correct that the price listed was a typo and the company caught it before shipping the rack to you.

Mine was hit in the front by previous owner, he had to replace it about 6 months after the accident, almost $3,700 for the part.
