  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The front parking sensors intermittently flash, never the rear sensors. The flashing is random from one sensor to another and vary in duration. Sometimes a quick flash, and other times longer approx 2 seconds. I've checked the sensors and they appear clean, connections to the sensor appear to be OK, and the car has never been in an accident. Is there a connector that could be slightly loss? If so, anyone know its location and how to get to it?

Thanks,

Cary

You left out important information.
Does this happen when sitting alone, nothing around you? Or are you talking about when stopped at a light behind another car or at least near another car. Or does it happen when you are moving?

How long have you had the car?

Welcome. This topic has been moved out of the Community Lounge and into the second generation Genesis Sedan forum...

The main plug to the sensors is just forward of the driver's front wheel - You can remove a couple of clips from the fender liner and peel it back a bit for access. Unplug it & hose both ends down w/ contact cleaner. Wait till it dries then reassemble.

That fixed mine... for a while. I ended up having a bad sensor on the driver's side.
