If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've got a 2021 3.3. I'm curious about the fender vent in the front. Can it be removed? Is it functional? What's behind it, etc

What info you got for me?

Yes it is functional and yes it can be removed.

I myself want to install CF vents but from all I have read you must unbolt the fender and that is a big NO for me because I am not a professional and next thing you know, you open the door and ruin the car lol

However my car was just at the dealer for paint fix and it has to go back so I am about to find out the cost to have them do it while it is there. Since I know them well I may get it done cheap but I hope free but if not I will see the cost somewhere.

I have installed CF kit, and many other things on this car but to remove the fender I just do not feel comfortable to do it.

Since I posted this yesterday, I went and talked with my brother who is the manager at a bodyshop and he said just like this.

Dude you probably do not even have to unbolt the fender and get to it from the wheel well.

So I said hmm I think you are right so I went and purchased the full CF replacements and remove the rims and see. If I cannot do it, his shop will or maybe the dealership when they are fixing a scratch they made in the car.

Paid like $250 for them instead of just getting the CF covers. The CF may be real on both choices however the full CF is darker and nicer than a thin cover piece. $100 more only.

Sweet man! Thanks for the info. I figured we should be able to get to them through the fender well, but there are sometimes small tricks. Take pics when you attempt!

Would you mind letting us know where purchased them?

They're purely cosmetic, as you'll be able to see when you remove them ;) .

Ah oh well I was told it helps for the engine compartment heat 🤷‍♂️

Either way my choice to change them was basically for cosmetic purposes 😁

I just purchased them off EBay because I heard from multiple sources they are the same exact ones you will pay $400 plus from stores online.

I looked at the photos and the ones that are real but covers and they look different.

I’ve had lots of real CF covers and while it is real it looks different than full pieces. It’s not as dark and often is coated with clear like the police’s for the pillars I purchased.

The full pieces look wet like my ADRO parts.

I will post pix when they get here so you can all get a close look. The online photos are ok but I’ll put it next to ADRO parts.

My old spoiler came from China and I recently removed it for my ADRO spoiler and it still looks like when I got it.

I have a different idea for mine if I can find the right parts. From my research, should be able to remove the plastic fender well to access a bolt/screw to detach.

@Phastroh have you pulled them out yet?

No but the parts are in the US somewhere it says.

Yeah what you said is my plan from talking to my brother. Just pull the cover off and it should be simple. Should lol I am not worried.

I made a comparison photo and it looks shitty but still. That is why I got the full replacements as they look deep and right. Not that caps are a bad choice, just that I want it to match my ADRO parts. That is why I am going to have G4Werks make the gas cap and go get that new actual real looking PPF for the mirrors and door handles and ditch the fake printed. It also looks ok but I want to change it.

May eventually do my hood. Kind of wish Genesis made the are from the sunroof to the read glass black but they did not.

Just personal preference.

WHen I do it I will take pix. It is my B-Day FRiday so I hope Saturday I have them lol

On the 2022+ models, I was disappointed to see the driver vent was actually a full vent top to bottom and the passenger side just has a few holes on the top

It says it is in IL. but that it will not be here til the 19th LOL if it passed customs I do not see why it will be longer than a few day not 16 days.

It will likely get updated.

It said it departed Orlando at 5PM LOL it must be coming tomorrow or today the 5th.

I wish I had install time but I have to do shit today and Saturday GRRRRRRRRRR.

The issue is not knowing the process. it could literally be 30 minutes.

I got the vents and they look really good. No time to install and only grab a few ok pix against the ADRO and G4 Werkz CF.

I have them installed but I’m going to make a new thread so anyone can find it and see how to do it.

I have to replace a little clip but it has no effect on it really except it doesn’t sit flat in the furthest most point on the drivers side but you can’t even tell.

I’m still going to replace it just in case but that’s simple snd I’ll explain in the new thread.

Had to get pictures and shade areas red to show things.

I will say there was a surprise on the passenger side lol.

So please tell how you plan to make heat go DOWN, rather than up:p. You'd need hood vents for that. They're not 'vents'; just look that way;).

I don’t plan on anything, I just read that a few places. No idea how they do it or don’t do it.

When I opened it up I can see hot air could escape but not a lot if any. There are no holes or anything that would suggest they remove heat.

Seriously though it’s just something I read.

I could personally care less however I do like the look 🤷‍♂️
