  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi guys

I posted earlier today but the thread disappeared. Weird.

Purchased a new sway bar link for the front right. Even though according to all of the info I find online, it should fit, it doesn't. The posts on mine are opposite while the part I received has a 90 offset. Pics below of mine (dirty and rusty) and an online picture of the one received.

Anyone here run into this issue?

Thanks in advance for your help.

What brand and part number did you purchase? It looks like a Dorman brand sway-bar link.

Sometimes the product description and fitment guides are not correct in some part seller online stores. I learned that you should go the official part brand website and use the official site fitment tool to verify what part number to purchase.

The Genesis swaybar end links looks like a 45degree offset to each other; not set directly opposite of each other. Those sway bar links you received was not for a Genesis for sure; you need these from Dorman instead.

Thank you carguy75! That is exactly what I need. It's pretty amazing. Up to this point, I haven't been able to find anything online that shows the correct orientation. Even when they are labeled on the sites as front right, AWD.

Appreciate your help.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
After further research, it seems the issue was not what was listed online but my ability to read properly. I ordered and received the right part if my car was the rear wheel model. DOH!!

Thanks again.
