Got my recall notice for the brake system today, has anyone else had this done yet? Didn't know rusting brake lines were an issue. I guess I'll book it in and see...

Can happen. I've replaced brake lines on two GM cars in the past and not as old as yours. If you live where roads are salted increases the likelihood.
 
Wondering if I will get same recall? Mid-Atlantic states love to salt the roads.

Got letter today about Campaign 991. I assume it is the same thing that you guys referring to as "recall".

I got the "Campaign 991" in the mail today for "Underbody Corrosion Preventative Service". Mentions treating the underbody with a cavity wax (sounds creepy) to prevent further corrosion. Dealer will need less than 2 hours "but" maybe longer? No mention of brake lines.

Were your brake lines failing or leaking? Was the letter Campaign 991?
 
Ahh got it as well.....have holes in the exhaust lol not sure if that would be covered....funny thing is that Toyota quoted me $8500 lol.
