  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Am I going senile, or is my backup camera pointed a new direction?

I don't remember seeing this much of my bumper or any of the trunklid or license plate before, and yet, it seems like the red and yellow path-illustrating lines are trimming themselves to the bumper as though it expects it to be right there.

Just one of those things where one day I got in it and thought "this didn't used to look like this," but couldn't really say exactly what was different.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Try pressing that button that says "TOP VIEW." Did that change it back to the view you were used to?

No, I did actually wonder whether it had inadvertantly gotten into top view, though, lol.

Looks like mine. I check the license plate lights with it.

It is not your mind playing tricks on you.:)

My 2015 Genesis also have an issue with the reverse camera angle getting stuck. My reverse camera is stuck in the wide(far out) angle, however the guide-lines will change when I select different views; but not the camera angle.

Since I never use the close up bumper view I am just waiting for the camera to fail entirely and then just replace it. My guess is that the reverse cameras units are not that good in the 2015 Genesis.

Mine still shows the "top view" when you press that button on the screen, but I swear this isn't quite the view I had before. Almost dead certain I never used to see any hint of that red stripe from my license plate -- that's pretty noticable in person.

Then again, a little fish eye pinole camera seemingly mounted in a flexible rubber trim piece might subtly shift if something gets jostled, or maybe the rubber baked in a parking lot and got soft, warped, etc.

But do y'all see any of your license plates in the normal/outward view?

My 2015 Genesis reverse camera has the same angle as your Genesis, however my reverse camera is not working properly so I do not know if it supposed to be at that angle.

My reverse camera has been stuck in this angle since I bought my car used in 2018.
