  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2010 Price Paid

Paid $38,600 for V8 with Tech. Maybe could have gotten a bit less, but the trade-in was a good value... so happy with the deal.

Last day of the month ...

Bought a 2010 Genesis 3.8 w/Premium and Nav Packages (no tech).
iPod Cable and Wheel Locks where on the car as well.

Sticker:.....................................................38,385.00
Edmunds Invoice w/800.00 destination charge:..38,178.00
Paid:.........................................................34,783.00
Title Prep:.......................................................20.00
Doc. Fee:......................................................220.00

Total:.......................................................35,023.00

Finance Options were 2.9% for 5 years or 3.9% for 6 years.

A big "family" sedan is what I've always wanted. So far I love this car. Smooth ride, plenty of power, lots of options. Everyone takes a look at it just like I did before I got mine. Not that I'm all about looks but you know what I mean ...

WARNING about Tarbox Hyundai of North Kingstown, RI.

They tried to rip me off when I financed the car. They gave me a monthly payment that ended up being $1152 ($16 dollars a month over 6 years) more then it should have been. Unless you have a loan calculator with you, you have to believe the numbers they give you. It's a shady business. Lucky I ran the numbers the day after I bought the car and found the error. The numbers don't lie, their payment was wrong. They re-wrote the contract with the correct payment. They also over charged me for an extended warranty plan which I dropped when they re-wrote the contract.

On top of that they wanted the car off the lot that day because it was the end of the month. I couldn't contact my insurance company so in order for me to drive the car off the lot they had to pay for an insurance binder. I noticed afterwords that they wrote up the 4 day binder as if I purchased a Hyundai Tiburon not a Genesis. I'm guessing it cost them less to insure the Tiburon then the Genesis.

So I have not received my registration yet but once I've got everything I need from the dealer I'm going to report them to the Insurance company. I hope they get screwed.

Bought last week my 2010 4.6 with tech (sticker 43,985) silver on black with 15 miles for $37,250 +TTL. Price included $1,500 rebate and the dealer threw in rebadging.
$40,589 out the door.

Hopefully you have another Hyundai dealer around for when you need service :p

Just got a quote for 2010 Genesis V6 with Tech package for $41000 out of the door from Stevens Creek Hyundai. Is it a good price?

I have asked for $37K + tax? Should I go lower? I saw messages stating people buying it for 6K below MSRP, is that true?
If so, I will ask for $36K + tax.

I bought my 2010 3.8 Premium/Nav (no tech) for $34,500 including tax and tags in February. 41K for the same thing with tech sounds awfully high to me

Thanks for the response.

From Two dealers the best I could get is $41K out the door for 2010 V6 with tech pkg. MSRP is 41895.

Thinking of waiting one more month by then Hyundai offers comp owner coupon on '11 genesis.

One dealer did offer V8 for 41K out the door. I drive 30miles one way everyday to work and was worried about fuel efficiency. Is there any specific diff between v8 and v6 other than engine?

There are a lot of differences.

Brakes, Steering, leather trim,...

V8 has the upgraded saddle leather. It really looks great.

I have always driven a V8 (Lexus LS 400) and never drove a V6.

I don't think there is much difference in fuel economy but that's just my opinion.

If you decide to get the V6 for fuel economy and have to pay $41K OTD, make sure you ask for a lot of free options (to justify the V6 purchase over the V8 at the same cost).

See my post on the "Did you car come with a cargo net?" thread. I was lucky enough to get some really great options with my purchase.

Too much....a 2010 4.6 should be under $40k out the door.... read this post backwards

I paid 39,750 out the door in October for the 2010 4.6 with Tech

Wow. Great Price. That was almost a year ago. My friends and I tried but couldn't get below 41K. I bought in June. Did get about a thousand dollars of options with it. Asked around a lot and no one we asked could get under 40K. Do you think it may be more difficult to get that price today as demand as probably increased since then?

In California "Out the Door" adds nearly 10% in tax and fees to the sales price.

Yes, that's correct. My quote for V6 with tech is $37K + $4136 (Tax, DMV fees and other Doc fees) - Total $41,136.

This evening San Leandro Hyundai offered to price match 2010 V8 with Tech pkg for the same price. $37K + 4K tax. Is it a good deal?
