  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Which home charger/EVSE should I get?

i have the chargepoint, works great, and also a lot smaller in wall real estate vs many of the others, which was a deciding factor for me given how cramped my garage is

I have a Charge Point Home Flex. It's been working great. No regrets so far.

I'm new to EV charging and must admit I had no idea how difficult it can be to plan even a short trip. Also, at 2 different 350 stations I could only get 150. I know people will tell you it's a setting in the GV60 but it's not. Anyway, I do a lot of research before buying something on Amazon and pay special attention to the one-star comments. If it is over 7%, I won't buy it. This was 3% and cost $399 and I'm very happy with it and set up was also easy.

EMPORIA EV Charger Level 2, 48 amp Indoor/Outdoor Electric Car Charger, NEMA 14-50 EV Charger Plug or Hardwired, UL/Energy Star WiFi Enabled EVSE Level 2 Charger, 24ft Cable - 240v Level 2 EV Charger. Hope this was helpful.

Hello all -

We're scheduled to pick up our GV60 Performance tomorrow, and so need a home charging solution. We already own a Tesla and have a NEMA 14-50 socket in the garage, so we just need to pick up an appropriate box for the GV60. I see many brands, from Electrify America, to Mustart to Amproad to Autel, to JuiceBox, to Emporia to Clipper Creek...

A friend bought the Electrify America for his iD4 - seems happy with it, but it's pricey, and I'm not sure I see its advantages over some of the others..

In theory, I could use the Tesla mobile charger that I got with the car with an adapter, HOWEVER, the cable isn't long enough to reach the parking spot in the garage for the GV60, and no, I'm not gonna just swap parking spots with the wife whenever she needs to charge...;)

Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations? Thanks!

There's no need to get a smart charger, imo... Get grizzl-e and you'll be able to schedule/manage charging from your Genesis app. The "dumber" it is, the lesser are the chances that something will go wrong. From personal experience...

I know this won' be of much help now but if you already had a tesla mobile charger all you had to do is buy a Tesla to J1772 converter to charge your GV60 using your Tesla mobile charger, e.g. the TeslaTap Mini adapter is $240 and not much larger than a can of coke. Works without any hassles with my electrified GV70.

This was months ago. Ended up buying a TeslaTap and using our Tesla mobile connector. Works great.
