  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

3.8 seconds using Boost mode, apparently.

Let me tell you, it is scary FAST!

Pretty impressive. I was wondering when Genesis would get into the high performance game and I guess it just happened with the electrified vehicles...

See 1:30 ...

The GV60 Performance has been doing it for a couple of years. Same power train.

I have a draggy & will get a few numbers for us us as soon as the eGV70 is back from the dealership but so far, 3.8 feels accurate. I raced with my buddies Kia EV6 GT which does 0-60 in 3.4 & we were neck & neck for the first 0-45ish then he pulled away. He was also shocked that I stood a chance. Now his car has wayyyyyy more torque at high end over the eGV70 though. Although it still has torque at 60-70 plus, it's not a ton. His car keeps pulling hard.

It's shockingly fast for a heavy SUV.

I have the luxury of driving the GV80 3.5t while my car is in the shop & it just feels so slow (It's not THAT slow just heavy, low on torque, & slow to get up to speed compared to the eGV70).

Hopefully I can get true draggy numbers this week if not next.

I know exactly what you mean about the GV80. I almost want to push mine off a cliff now. Lol. Seriously though, I might trade it in for either another eGV70 or something else electric.

It's not a bad car at all though! I think if it was an electric version, it would fix any of my opinionated problems that I have. Coming from a tuned sports car, I think my hopes were set too high.

Agreed. But I've been assured that, of the cars in Genesis' current lineup, the GV80 will be the last one to go fully electric. The GV90 will be all electric right out of the gate though.

I love how genesis went with pretty much normal looking front-ends/grilles for the G80, GV60 and GV70. I'm not a big fan of most without grilles.

After all the YouTube videos of Tesla's being vandalized and literally attacked on the road, I'm glad there is no obvious indication that my GV70ev is electric.

Genesis is conservative stating 4.2s, Car & Driver did the 3.8s stated above using standardized testing they have established since decades.
