  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am going to get a Uyumi White GV70 3.5 Sport Advanced. Never spent this much on a vehicle before but I’m worth it! If I don’t spend my money, my kids will! Supposed to get off the boat end of the month.

I am tech savvy, but more used to simple vehicles. This thing seems intimidating. I worry about things like turning the audio volume down or turning the fan up, while negotiating traffic. Are there tutorials available somewhere? I don’t feel like RTFM. Maybe I have to, though.

Thanks for this forum!

You may want to reconsider your purchase given the widespread issue this weekend of Hyundai Genesis wiping out all presets for owners and not accepting messages on this corporate IT failure

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Genesis GV70! What will the GV70 be replacing for you? I'm glad you found us. :)

Don't worry, the volume controls are right on the steering wheel. After a few times you won't even have to take your eyes off the road to change the volume...

They'll get a handle on it and rectify the issue. Give them a little time. Technology is a wonderful thing but sometimes there are bumps in the road...

I have a 2004 4Runner, which is my fun vehicle. I have a 2011 Lexus IS250 with 160,000 miles, which is my everyday vehicle. Both have volume controls on the steering wheel! The Genesis will replace both. I am retired now, so I only need a fun vehicle.

I haven't heard of this. I'll research this.

Thanks for the welcome.

My GV70 arrived on Friday. Trying to figure out all the gizmos. My wife now wants a Genesis (and she's like Mikey, she hates everything).

Once you learn you can adjust the volume from the steering wheel and where the other controls and settings are, it's not hard at all.

I would recommend you go to YouTube. Genesis has an amazing library of easy to follow 2 - 5 minute videos about the settings in your car. I think I have watched most of them and then I saved them to Watch Later, so I can find one that I might need easier in the future.

Enjoy the new GV70. They're simply AWESOME cars!

Thanks! I actually subscribed to that YouTube channel a few weeks ago when I pulled the trigger on the purchase. Today, I gritted my teeth and used the Remote Smart Park feature to back it out of the garage. Our garage is narrow, so there's only about 2" of clearance on the passenger side, even with the mirrors folded. It backed out perfectly. It refused to drive into the garage, however.

I'm taking it fishing next week. It will get dirty, but that's ok!

Dirty? Not allowed, no siree! Hope you're getting used to and enjoying the new ride. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my GV70!
