  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I lost my Handicap Parking placard--that thing you hang on your rear-view mirror. I placed it on top of the center console, as shown in the photo below. The placard
slid forward and disappeared beneath the vertical trim piece immediately above the ashtray compartment door. Does anyone have any tips about how I might retrieve the placard without disassembly of my car?

I have no clue. If you don't get a reply, stop by the dealer and maybe they will halp you without an actual service call. The righ person my be able to snatch it back quickly.
Then put it up in the visor.

I would say removing the cover under the dash on the passenger side and pulling just the front portion of the console side panel to the side to gain access to that area is going to be best route to take. You might want to let service do it. It should not take over an hour and a half.
I take it is not preventing you from sliding the ash tray door open. I don’t think they will have a problem reaching it.

Good Luck🍀

Tongue depressor with a wad of gum or similar, go fishing.
I'll try that. The forward lip is very stiff and difficult to raise, but I may have a thin piece of aluminum that I. could try. Thanks.
