  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I didn't know my GV70 can do that!

5 days into ownership. The learning curve on the GV70 is quite steep. I finally figured out that the iPhone app wasn't working until I reset using the MAP + SETUP buttons.

If you lift the rear third of the cover for the spare tire, there is storage for items. I used to carry some emergency items in my previous vehicle in a large box, but this hidden area is very handy. My emergency box is now quite small.

I'm now trying to figure things out under the hood. I believe that this is the first vehicle I've owned that doesn't have a 12V battery.

Not true. The 12V battery is in the rear. It's not that unusual. My cars since 2000 have had batteries in the trunk.

That is why your phone has to be paired with Bluetooth. Everything works off the phone battery now. Save weight for better gas mileage. Amazing technology we have now.

Sorry, I guess my sense of humor isn't that good.

Wow! Can we also run a GV60 off an iPhone?

Not yet, but the iPhone 14 will have the capacity.

When you hold down the door unlock button on the key fob for more then a second, it will wind down all 4 windows. Use this all the time when approaching a hot car.

Remote start eliminates the need.

Depends - I prefer rolling windows down over planning when to remote start my vehicle.
Same here. There are plenty of times I know it’s hot in the car but once I’m inside I will be driving with the windows down instead of using the AC. Using the remote to roll down the windows is a better option in those situations than starting the car.

I just wish with the Genesis that like some other brands I own, holding the lock button would close the windows/sunroof

I'll admit - it took 3 months before I found out there was a knee kick out on the drivers seat. Love this in the Audi and BMW....pleasantly surprised this car had a power version. (wifey drives this more that I do)

100% - program this feature in all my German cars. Use it every day too...

Wow that brings back memories. Had to get it programmed into the old B7 S4, but the R8s, TTRS, and AMGs all had the ability to use the fob to open AND close the windows straight from the factory. Interestingly, the GV80 can't even have the windows opened by using the fob, or at least I couldn't get mine to do it. The GV70s no problem. Weird.

My '09 MB SL550 the fob will also also open and close the convertible hardtop. My old '10 370Z roadster too.

Find an open highway, press the accelerator to the floor, and before long you're doing almost 150. Love that feature! Don't get to use it too often though. Rats!

That section is designed to hold the cargo cover if you need to remove it for larger items. It fits in there perfectly and keeps it out of the way until you need it again.

Wow, thanks! I am out of town so I can't check this out but will do so soon.
