Should Genesis electric vehicles get a subforum for each model for electric-specific questions?

For example, should there be an "Electric-Specific" subforum within the main GV70 forum? That way, any discussions relating to ELECTRIC-specific GV70 topics to go in that spot...

To note, things could get confusing and less organized as people with an Electric GV70 ask questions about things not specifically related to being "electric" in the electric forum - and vise verse.

For example, there could be a topic about power windows that is heavily discussed with questions, answers and solutions - in both the ICE and Electric GV70 forums...

How does the membership feel we should move forward with a request - or future requests like this?

Electric specific could be good, not within the GV70 or other model. I'm thinking some questions on chrgers would apply to all platforms, but not for ICE model.

That is where you would ask about connections to a Tesla chrger, but not general information such as what brand of headlight do you like as that applies across everything.

Thank you, Ed. Okay, so perhaps just a single forum in the community for all electric-related questions. IF/AS discussions build-up that ... Okay, yeah, let's think about this a moment... IF model-specific "electric" questions start popping up, do we create model subforums within the new electric area? I guess so... Right?

Thinking more about this and projecting out a 2-5 years. Won't most, if not all, Genesis models have EV versions?
And the EV's are going to be built on their own non-ICE platform(s), many parts and customizations will no longer be interchangeable between the ICE and EV versions of the same model. I would think giving each model it's own EV sub-forum would address these issues.

What do you think of the "Electric Specific" idea? This way it's at least somewhat obvious to people that posts (and posting) in the subforum would/should be specifically related to an the EV version of the vehicle. Otherwise, I think, people are going to post in the GV70 EV SUV forum about the seats being too (soft/firm/etc) when it doesn't relate specifically to the EV (if all GV70 seats are the same across ICE/EV).

Yes, that's what I'm thinking... It would be nice to get more input on this from others before making any changes...

It's possible a single EV-Specific Issues, Questions and Answers forum could work. And then we could always split topics into subforums as it grows... We'd definitely need somebody to help moderate as there will likely be a lot of NON-EV specific talk posted in the forum...

I can get things setup where the country flag of the poster is listed under their avatar in posted messages... What do you think of that?

Sal, I don't own an EV, but if I did, a separate subform would be nice. I don't think you need one for each model.

This may make the most sense for the time being... How I typically do things is start one main area and then split-off as needed.

For example, we start off with a "Genesis EV-Specific Issues and Support" forum. All EV-"specific" discussion gets posted there. Over time, if we find there is subject matter that ONLY applies to the Electric GV70, then we create a subforum for it, either in the Electrified section - or in the GV70 section...

That makes sense. Some topics apply to all EV but not at all to ICE
