  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi, first post here forgive any missteps.
I recently purchased a 2015 3.8 RWD. I have a 16mile trip to work, my range displayed 130miles. I arrived at work to see a 99mile range. Wanting to see if this is normal, thanks.

Could be. It uses some of the latest info to determine the distance.
If, for instance you were driving at a nice 50 mph on a road with no stops you would be showing probably 26 mpg. Next moring, it is cold and you go to the grocery store two miles away. It will be showing you get 10 mpg. On the way home though, car warmed up it will go to 14 mpg. That factors into the miles remaining.

I did not pull those numbers out of the air, they are actual numbers I saw on my 3.8 for real. The miles left is a rough guide though reasonably accurate on a very long highway trip of a few hundred miles. On long trips I'd fill and see 425 miles, but a long stretch around town, short trips, at fill up it would under 300.

Very interesting. I was fearing electrical problems. Thanks for the information!
