GV70 2022 3.5t Sport Prestige Fingerprint reader

I’ve had my GV70 for almost 2 years now and had little luck with the fingerprint sensor. I’ve gone through the setup many times and rescanned my fingers. But it rarely works and I’ve found it to be finicky. It almost never works on the first try and more often than not I exhaust my tries and it locks me out. Luckily I always have the fob with me.

Does anyone actually have this feature working reliably?

Mine is incredibly inaccurate. So much so that I deleted it and forgot about it entirely.

I found that if I wet my registered finger slightly before touching the sensor, it works all the time. I guess dry skin is not compatible.

Yeah, usually takes me 2/3 times like most fingerprint readers. I tried deleting mine but it won't delete! It keeps saying that the delete failed and just leaves it there...no idea how to get rid of that.

For a while I would try at least twice before getting it to work, sometimes it didn't even, however as of lately it has been pretty accurate for me on the first try. I noticed this after I did the update in May so not sure if that has anything to do with it but I want to think so because that's all that's been different for me.

I use mine quite frequently and it has not let me down yet. I leave my key at home when mountain biking etc. one less thing to lose or break.

Not sure I understand the functionality. If you leave your key at home, how do you lock/unlock your vehicle with just your fingerprint?

Phone or key card depending.

Have you tried the soft reset? Push the map and settings buttons at the same time. My finger print started working again.

Wasn't sure if it was just me or what, but I guess you confirmed it.
