  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I finally got the Genesis app setup, remote started the 2020 G70 and flashing hazards while remote started is a pain. I know there are aftermarket modules to use the original key fob but the whole warranty voided thing is a concern. When I used to have a Honda Accord there was a way to program the higher end key fob with the lower trim to get the remote start enabled with the key fob. My question is has anyone tried programming the 2022 G70 key fob which has the Remote strat button to the older body style? Does the 2022 flash hazards when remote started via the key fob?

A lot of us here use the My Key Premium aftermarket starter and are pretty happy with it. Personally, I love mine, especially the lock/unlock proximity sensor.

These aftermarket kits do not void any warranty and they are EASILY removeable (in less than 5 minutes) before you take your vehicle in for service if you want. It has a pretty decent range too. I usually start my car as I am walking to it several hundred feet away. I believe all/most auto starters make the hazards flash to let the owner know that the vehicle actually has started up.

+1 MyKey Premium is the functionality Genesis should have included to begin with..... very pleased with this after-market item

I have the My Key and it is hit and miss when it is cold. In the summer it works nearly every time, but winter is quite a different story. My Key said it is common in cold weather, and it can take 2, or more for me, tries to start. Plus, every once on a while the 4 way flashers don't turn for a couple miles of driving. My car battery is 4 years old but seems fine. I have new batteries in my fobs. Had I known this, I would've just kept with Connected Care. Just my .02 on that.
