  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My 2015 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 has paint pretty much chipping off the rear bumper, and i noticed the paint in the front is starting to go aswell.....they were never re-painted before or anything. How much would it cost me too get it repainted or touched up?

If you get a paint stick, that costs about $15 from the dealer but it is a losing battle. My front bumper's paint is peeling too. Not my rear bumper though.

Same here, same year, white. Couple of 2" pieces of clear coat, along with the pearl, have peeled off the top portion of the front bumper cover, near the emblem. Cheapest quote to refinish the cover was $275 if i brought it to them with all parts removed. He would sand, fill, prime and paint. I'm going to do both, as the rear has yellowed a bit near the trunk and both don't really match the rest of the car. A tad grey compared to the sheet metal.

I got both of my bumpers done it cost me $500 it was done buy a professional paint guy. He did a great job took them of the car and sand, and primer, and a few coats of paint and afew clear coat. His job is better then the factory one. Shop around you will find someone.

Ok that's not so bad. Yeah I'm gonna shop around and get a few quotes. So I guess this is common with this year and model?

The back bumper on my 2015 white Genesis Ultimate 3.8 is doing the same. Going for an estimate this week.

Anyone know if Hyundai has offered to fix this issue via recall of similar campaign? My front and rear bumpers (white pearl) look awful. Peeling everywhere and yellowing.

My 2017 G80 is doing the same thing, and the back is turning yellow as well. I hope that there will be a recall, if not I'm gonna get it repaired, it looks horrible, and to spend that much money on a car with a paint defect is ridiculous.
