Would you buy your GV70 again?

I am considering the Genesis GV70 for my next SUV. Currently drive an Infiniti QX50 2012 with the V6. 298 HP. It's a rocket and VERY VERY reliable. Don't like the new Infiniti 4 CYL turbos with CVTs (UGH!). But, I am so concerned about reliability issues. I can't afford not to have my car for weeks waiting for a part. Do you think all the glitches may be solved in 2 years? Need some honest advice. There's one guy in my neighborhood who said he'd never buy one again. Since new, he's had trouble with the NAv system shutting down. Thoughts from owners? Thank you.

I probably would get my GV70 again but the biggest thing that gives me pause is access to maintenance. I live near the Bay area and there are 4 genesis dealerships near me. Despite the abundance of dealerships however, I can't get an oil change until 3 months from now. Of course when I bought the vehicle the salesman promised me that scheduling maintenance was a cinch, that there were plenty of loaner vehicles, and that valet pickup appointments were abundant.

Keep in mind that "all the issues" are all you're going to find here for the most part. That's the main reason for having a forum. A Toyota/Lexus is the only vehicle proven to be consistently more reliable than any other vehicle on average, so if that is your main concern get one of those. If you don't want one of those, then you're in the same boat as everybody else. If your dealership lives up to the promise, you won't ever be without a vehicle. I have had several issues and waited for parts but I was never for one second without a vehicle. And none of it cost me a penny.

It's arguably the best car in its segment crippled by middling reliability and generally terrible dealer service. Toyota did it right for Lexus but Hyundai continues to fail in customer service and Genesis dealer network despite a decade of sponsorship of Genesis golf tournaments

I would buy the GV70 again because I know other manufacturers are having the same issues with extended rapair and service times in addition to a shortage of loaners because of said repairs and service.

However, as the poster above me stated, it's the best compact SUV in its segment and definitely stands out against the rest of the crowded segment. The only negatives are the dealer service networks and the lack thereof, mainly the dealers that are literally attached to Hyundai. Luckily Genesis corporate went above and beyond and made everything right for me.

You must have patience and a warranty to own a Genesis vehicle, but this can be said about any manufacturer nowadays. The tech in all new cars are buggy and older cars are much more reliable IMO. Read other manufacturer forums and you will see similar complaints since forums are where most buyers go to complains.

I enjoy my GV70. But glad to be very close to a 'reasonable' but not outstanding dealer. I also have other vehicles to drive as needed. The reliability and lack of concern by dealers and corporate support is disappointing. But so far vehicle runs great..as have two other Genesis vehicles. So color me satisfied. Now if a new Speedium coupe comes out....I may ditch the SUV. lol.

We all take our chances despite research and diligence
