  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone, I'm Chris...I've recently just became an owner a wonderful Genesis 2019 G90! I have been wanting a Genesis for years. I've always thought these cars looked amazing...back in the day the Equus caught my eye...which we all know turned into the G90. I finally have one! I got lucky, the previous owner of the car took GREAT care of it, and barely drove it. It only has 25k miles on it. Anyways, I'm looking forward to talking about Genesis cars and learning more about them. There is so much technology in this car that I feel like I need a college degree to drive it! lol

Hello everyone, I'm new here and recently purchased a 2019 Genesis G90 w/ just 25k miles on it. I have been wanting one of these cars since the Equus was debuted. Anyways, I'm happy to have found this wonderful resource and glad to be part of the community!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Genesis G90! I'm glad you found us. :) What did the G90 replace for you?

Hi Sal, thanks for the warm welcome. I originally had a 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5SL. I loved that car, it was the first new car I ever bought by myself. I had 300,000 miles on it until couple weeks ago when a young girl, (21) pulled in front of me and slammed on her brakes…totaled my car (she got the ticket thx to my dash cam). I figured now was the time to upgrade to the Genesis, I’m very glad I did!

Wow... A dash cam is like a necessity these days... I hope nobody got hurt... I wonder how long that Nissan Altima would have lived on for if it weren't for the accident. In any event, it brought you here and now you own a full size luxury sedan. I imagine you're really loving the G90. Miss anything about the Altima other than fuel economy?

The Altima was really fun to drive and one of the things I do miss is the large trunk it had. With having two teenage boys in the house, my grocery list is constantly growing! The G90 trunk is nice, but def a little smaller than the Altima's.

Well that is preeeety interesting that the Nissan Altima has more trunk space than a Genesis G90... I would have never thought that. I wonder if it's the same for the current new generation...

And, yes, the Altima is smaller and lighter. It'll be more fun to drive than a full size luxury sedan. But that G90 is one heck of a cruiser...

you are def right about that, G90 is fun as hell to drive! The 2005/06 altima body styles had the large trunk space...after the redesign, imo, the Altima was changed for the worse. Not to mention they went w/ the CVT transmission. My wife had 2 nissan quests, a 2013 and a 2009. The 2009 was great...should've never gotten rid of it...the 2013 Quest (with cvt) had to replace transmission at 100k. At 200k miles the transmission started slipping..not going through that again so we got a Honda Odyssey after that (2016). Thank god it doesn't have CVT...thats another thing I love about the G90, just a standard 8 speed automatic, no CVT! I just got done putting a ceramic coating on the G90, the water beading is amazing.

Outside of that trunk space, the G90 is a huge upgrade. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it and making it the best it can be. You should post a few pictures in our G90 photo album.
