  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just updated the software to see if this was the glitch - but nope, still happening.
So no matter how I toggle the settings in Waze, the voice commands do not come through the audio system. I’ve also looked at the sub menus and I don’t think there’s anything in there to toggle that on and off in the Genesis interface, is there?

Are you getting sound from music from the phone and from phone calls?
If this is Apple, you might try going to Apple maps and make sure mute is turned off, and then go back to Waze.

It works in every other car I plug into except my G70
I checked the settings on the phone.
Everything looks good - so it’s something with the Genesis interface.🫣

Try turning up the car volume when you think Waze should be saying something. Maybe the Waze Nav Volume got turned all the way down.

Plug the phone into the car. Then go to the settings menu. Somewhere in the settings (may be the "all menus") there is device connections. Then there will be an apple CarPlay area. scroll down the menu until you see navigation volume or media volume and increase that to about 15. I'd give more precise names but I'm not near my car at the moment.

(also in your Waze app on the phone. Make sure the sound icon doesn't have a " ! " or an " X " next to it.. that'd eliminate turn directions as well.)

Man, unless you have a different menu interface, I am not seeing that on mine at all unfortunately - CarPlay is grayed out unless I plug my phone in and once I plug my phone in it just mirrors the phone and there’s no settings relating to navigation volume

Just found it!:
Sound settings, connected device volumes, Apple CarPlay, navigation volume

Thanks!!!
