How to set Home POI in order to navigate home

Common sense says that if I save my home address as Home, then when the POI system asks for the POI, all I need to do is say "home" and it will bring up my home address. However, it doesn't work. I say "home" and the POI system says the POI isn't recognized. WTF.

What am I doing wrong?

Try "navigate to home" not sure but even "go home" may work.

Nope. Neither "navigate to home" nor "go home" worked.

Weird, since when I saved my home address to Home, it told the address was saved to the Address Book. It even asked me if I wanted to start guidance after saving.

So why can't I use Home with the POI system???

Do you see it in your address book? Screenshot?

Yes, my home address is in the Address Book under Favorites->Home.

In fact, if I go to the NAV menu, I can press the Go Home button and it will show me the navigation to my house.

In other words, everything works except for talking to the POI system. It simply won't accept any voice command to go home.

This is very inconvenient. Why is this system so obtuse?

Something not right. Worked for me in three different cars.

Well, the POI system will accept any other POI I speak.

I don't normally use "commands" of any sort.

Try deleting it and redoing it. Don't save it in favorites. I don't work but I have another saved as "work" and results are good for that too.

I don't know what you mean. Defining Home is the same thing as adding the Home Favorite in the Address Book. Is there another way to define Home?

Never mind. I figured it out...

I've never used the command button on the steering wheel. I've always used the POI system button on the rear view mirror. The POI system is not command-driven.

When I used the command button and say "go home", it worked. So I learned something new today!
