Radio Head Unit

My radio, GPS, phone connection, everything quit. I went to the dealership and they said I needed a new head unit. I found one on ebay and everything came back. The problem is there is no sound from the radio, cd player or anything. I can see the song from the cd player and radio being played but nothing from the speakers. Can anybody help with this?

Did you get one for the correct year? 2015-2017's have a different amp than the newer ones... and if it's not found in the CANBUS, you won't get any sound.

OP say they have a 2015 G80 so who knows what that is.

Yes I purchased it based on model and manufacturers part number.

Do be aware that there is no G80 model for the 2015 year.
Either you have a 2017-2024 G80 or you have a 2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan. If you purchase a headunit for a G80, it will not work correctly in your 2015.

Yes I'm aware I used the incorrect nomenclature. It's a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8.

Another thing I noticed is there is a symbol that looks like an antenna in the upper right of the display. It has a red X next to it.

I was looking through my purchase paperwork. I bought this vehicle from a Genesis dealer and they called it a G80 on the contract. That's where I got the nomenclature from. After you brought this error to my attention I wondered where I got it.

I tested the amp input from the head unit and I am getting power to the amp. Should I suspect a faulty amp or is further testing required?

Mine just quite as well. Stuck in the boot loop only displaying the Genesis logo. 2015 5.0 Ultimate. Currently at the dealer. It seems like I've read several forums recently that this is happening. I'll let you know what the dealer tells me. I suspect the canned response of "you need a new head unit." . ..
