  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does any know how to access the rearview mirror wiring or have the wiring diagram for our rearview mirror? I want to mirrortap, so that I can use a blendmount for my Uniden R3. I can’t seem to find a wiring diagram on the internet for the rearview mirror.

In case anyone needs the wiring diagram for the rear view mirror, here it is

Hmm I dont believe this is accurate. This diagram has 6 connections...my 2020 3.3t sport has 8.

I can't find the wiring diagram in the FSM... Either they never included it, or I just missed downloading the correct chapter.

Phew! with that out of the way, this is what I measured when I was trying to tap into the mirror for my dashcam.
I did not go ahead with drawing power from the mirror as I needed parking mode and a low voltage cut off for the dashcam.
Mine is a 2.0 not a 3.3

Update: 2021 G70 3.3T
My mirror is slightly different than any pictured here.
I measured voltages with a multimeter and found that pin 6 only carried 3.3VDC.
I used the black wire as ground and the blue wire which carried 12VDC Always ON.
My detector has auto off which turns off the screen after an hour and turns it back on at 10mph.
I used a different type of wire tap which unfortunately precludes clear photos

All - I followed the information posted and could only get a 12v. Constant battery, so the R3 stayed on unless you hit the power button, posted on the G70 FB page and received this picture, most helpful, move power to the top left wire, (yellow on my car) and I now have switched power. 58DCA4BA-9A70-4EA9-93B7-191BDF341B12.webp

So this would contradict mthore on post #9 here, correct? Looks like you’re indicating ground is the all black wire whereas his post indicates it’s the one immediately above it which is a striped wire. Can anyone confirm the correct ground spot? My wiring looks just like this and I have a 2019 G70 2.0.

Thanks.

Yes, the all black is ground. I have a 2.0 as well. It should be easy to verify with a test light or a multimeter.

I have a 22 3.3T. The brown/white wire does not offer power for me. I have tried multiple wires and I can't find the power wire. Has anyone completed this with a new 3.3T?

Howdy everyone, joined this forum to get some of this same information. I just checked my 23 Sport Prestige and my wiring matches what RMOD has posted above for the Switched, Non Switched and GND locations. However my wiring for those is different. The Switched 12V wire is yellow, the Ground is Black and the Constant 12V wire is Gray with an Orange Stripe. I will try to post a photo or two with some text on them in the future when I have a bit more time. Hope this helps.
