  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I bought my 2013 Sedan in 2016 and absolutely fell in love with the Genesis. When I bought it I believe it was around 46k miles and I've just passed 152k without any major issues. I plan to keep it that way as long as I can, and wanted to join the Genesis forum to get advice and knowledge from fellow 1GEN owners. I defintley plan on buying another Genesis in the future.

Welcome John!

A fellow 1GEN diver here, having recently taken custody a 2013 3.8 sedan, outfitted with premium and tech. It's got just over 55k and I hope to see it running and rolling like yours for another 100+. This is a terrific forum with equally terrific members offering their knowledge, advice, and humor.

Cheers!

My previous car was a Ford Taurus; God knows what year. I've had plenty of makes and models in the past though, everything from a Cadillac DeVille with the Northstar V8, to several Honda Civics, and Infiniti G20 and Nissian Sentras.

Well nice upgrade from the Ford Taurus. The Taurus was always a well-appreciate sedan - but the Genesis Sedan is quite an overall improvement.

You're diversified with your vehicles, I see. Honda Civic, always a good small car. Infiniti G20 was one I always wanted but never did get. Nissan Sentra - similar to the Civic in many ways - and also an enthusiast car in "SE-R" form...

Now the Cadillac DeVille with Northstar V8 - I had one myself. Great cars, though not the most reliable. But quite luxurious and comfortable to drive on long trips. How do you feel the Genesis Sedan and Cadillac DeVille compare to one another?

Haha, that car was like 20 years ago, but I sure did love that thing! I'm hooked into Genesis for life I think. I hope used car prices drop in the next couple of years, because I can't buy new at the moment.
