  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey, I don't have any suggestions for you, but was happy to see I am not crazy. I have a 1 year old 2023 G70 and the front right parking sensor was going off at stop lights the entire time I have my foot on the brake. My dealer has the car for this and a sunroof issue from summer they are just not getting to fix. The techs can't make it happen, however I have video. The dealer says the video is no good if they can't replicate the issue for warranty work. They will have the car for another week, i am hopeful the sensor will go off and I will hear of a solution.

Is this only when there is another vehicle in front or or beside you (not really close, but within two or three yards)?

No, it is doing it whenever the brake is applied at a full stop. No other vehicles in front or to the sides. It is most frustrating as the the alarm goes off as long as the brake is applied. The surround cameras also activate on the console.

Same problem here. It’s a bad sensor, had the dealer replace it under warranty but first they tried to make me pay for it. Now 8 months later it’s happening again.
By the way.. hit the button on your console to the left of you camera view to mute the annoying beeping alarm temporarily.

They finally discovered the sensor was bad- pulled the bumper and replaced it as well. So far all good! I will keep you posted if it holds.

It really does seem to be cold weather related.

I live in New England, and I've had this sensor issue on every modern car I've owned. Some seem worse than others, for who knows why. Read once yes cold is a factor, but could likely be related to road salt either on the sensor or ultrasonics reflecting off of road salt on a leading vehicle or road. Im seeing it again now on my 2024 G70 once and a while.

I’m am now positive it is temperature related. We had a minor cold snap here in ARIZONA where it hot done to about 40F for about 10 days. For 10 days the sensor never stopped beeping.
Went back to 68-75F and no more beeping.

Hi, I believe the parking sensor is a technology flaw. I have the same issue and Genesis repair tech diagnosed my car and told me that certain radio signals will set off the sensors. I mostly experience the issue when I am behind a Tesla?

The parking sensors are sonar, not radar. Ultrasonic sounds can and will set them off, but actual radio wave should not be able to do so.

My car was less than a months old the 1st time I had the issue. Dealership couldn't get it to replicate, then finally said it had a nick in the sensor face so it would cost me $560 for replacement... even though vehicle is under complete warranty. Found the OEM part online for $90 and replaced it myself. 4 months later. Doing the same thing on the opposite side. Any time the vehicle hits 6mph or below it goes off and won't stop until u get back up above 6mph. I have ordered a 2nd sensor and replacing it today, but it's ridiculous that these are so easily affected from normal daily driving. Definitely making me question if I want to stay with the Genesis vehicle after this one, and this is the 2nd one I have owned and had zero issues with the 1st one.

I have the same issue with my 2023 G70... annoying. Will report back anything I figure out.

Same issue with my 2023 g70. agree it is cold related

Hi, did you had to calibrate or programmed the new sensors you replaced or are they install only and good to go?
