i just bought a 2024 2.5T Prestige but don’t like the tuck. I have wheel spacers on all my other cars for flush fitment and would like the same for the GV70. It has the 21’s on it, which look like the same ones on the 23’s. So…I’m hoping someone has already found some and installed them. It looks like 20mm might work on back and 15mm front. If you have, please post size and before/after pics.

...following. 👍

So, it looks like we need 67.1mm center bore, 5x114.3 bolt pattern and a M14x1.4 pitch ball seat lug bolt. The biggest issue I’m seeing is the lug bolt pitch of M14x1.5. Most kits I’m seeing are M12x1.5. But…guess what…our spacers are the same size as Ferrari and Maserati. That makes them expensive, but doable. By my measurements, it looks like 20mm rear and 15mm front would be a perfect Fit to make the wheels flush. This is the perfect kit if the lug bolts are the right length: 4x15mm+20mm 7075T6 Hubcentric Wheel Spacers for Ferrari 458 Maserati GT Ghibli | eBay

I contacted them to try and get the lug lengths. I also gave them the lug bolt specs based on a stock length of 40mm plus the width of the spacers (55mm and 60mm length respectively). We’ll see what they say…

Check out (this thread) for bolt issues due to the unusually large shoulder/ball on OEM bolts (if these are the same on your/our vehicle - I pick up the same one tomorrow...) - just a heads up to ensure you get the lengths you want because our stock "40mm" is apparently more like "30mm" aftermarket.

Looking forward to seeing how 15mm/20mm works out for you! I come from a fully modded BMW and *hate* hate non-flush fitments! Lol. This is bred into BMW owners... haha.

And "but of course" Ferrari and Maserati would have the premium spacers we need...

There is a pic on this forum somewhere of a bolt and it is 40 mm. Bolts at 55 mm are getting up there in length and would be concerned.

I have been communicating with Bonoss about this out of curiosity for my OEM 19" that I use for winter. My summers are custom offset of +32 which has my front tires flush. Back are a bit inset still but wanted square set up to allow rotation front to back.

It has been a battle Bonoss because they are in China, every email back takes a day turn around, if not longer, and they don't always answer my questions.

They finally pointed me to the link below and offer choices of thickness of 11, 15 and up (11 mm would be perfect offset to minimize poke for my 19s) and optional bolts bolts, direct buy.

You can then choose length of bolt here. Anything 52 mm up 75 are custom lengths.

Thing is, at almost $400 US just to have my winters a bit more flush, it's gonna be a hard pass.

Yes they are 40mm but with 10mm shoulders. If you use 40mm aftermarket bolts, you may be adding up to 10mm of travel. Just fyi to be careful and aware is all.

And 32 offset makes sense. My 19" winters are +35 also and look pretty clean. Fronts push more than backs I think, I haven't measured yet.

Maybe I don't understand what is included in in the length of the bolt. When you say shoulders, are you referring to the ball seat portion of the bolt? I ask because the pic I saw posted by a member had a measuring tape next to the straight shank portion only and the shank was 4 cm long, not incl the ball portion. Would be good to know either way. If it was summer, i could measure my oem bolts.

Ya check this post:
Wheel bolts for winter wheels

notice they are both "40mm". But if you used the left black one, an extra ~10mm would thread through because it has a "normal" shoulder vs. The huuuuge (!) one on the stock bolt.

My tire guy compensated for this without me even mentioning it (does GV's all the time...). Aftermarket bolts I got were about 30mm+no_shoulder = 40mm_with_Shoulder.

I'm no pro, but just a heads up to maybe save you some hassle. Check it the rest of the thread I copied, OP discusses what happened to him which may help.
👍

Ah, okay, saw a different picture somewhere but I get what you're referring to now. Thanks. You can see how the conical bolt in that picture would sit deeper by about 10mm, which explains why aftermarket bolts needed to be 30 rather than 40.

Like you, the shop that sold me my summer wheels provided FAST spline nuts, conical seat, and I just checked them out...about 28mm shank.

So, agree with you, if you have or are changing to aftermarket wheels, especially if they require conical bolt, then bolt length will likely be shorter. But the other variable is the thickness of the wheel hub which could vary from wheel to wheel, thus why it's wise to get advice on proper bolt length from the supplier of the wheel, presuming they know their stuff.

Of course, if you are using OEM wheels and adding a spacer, you should be using a ball seat bolt, not conical seat bolts, and theoretically they should sit the same way as OEM on the wheel hub. Therefore, you would focus only on shank length, which is 40mm stock + thickness of any spacer = new bolt length required.

Another tip, don't get cheap bolts unless you like to play Russian roulette with your life. They should be forged with a grade of at least 10.9, 12.9 even better.

I thought I'd share some photos with the group...

I recently purchased a 2022 GV70 3.5T and I wanted to do (3) mods immediately:
  • Change out the Rear Tires to 275's
  • Install Lowering Springs (I went with Storm simply because M&S would take 12 weeks, versus Storm arriving in 3 days)
  • Install Wheel Spacers (I like a more aggressive stance, so I went with 25mm all-around)
I think the mods came out excellent and have truly transformed the stance of this SUV. Furthermore, I can feel the difference with the lower center of gravity and the wider stance achieving more grip for better cornering.

Ideally, I'd like to get some 295's or 305's on the rear, but that'll unfortunately require me to buy a new set of wheels.

Looks good. I am not ine to lower, nor raise(when i had my f150), but thats just personal preference.

Please let us know what brands of spacers you used.

The stance looks good. Please share the wheel spacer information.

I already shared the wheel spacer information in my previous post - but here it is again.
Looks outstanding! So, you didn’t have any issues with those spacers? The pitch is M12x1.5, not M14x1.5 and the lug nuts aren’t the same ball type as the lug bolts (at least in the picture), they’re tapered. Do the tapered lug nuts fit with the wheels since I’m assuming they are what attach the wheel to the studs and the lug bolts attach the spacer to the hub?

Also, did the lowering springs do anything from a warranty perspective? Mine is a 2024, so don’t want to negate the warranty. I have the adjustable suspension (maybe all do, not sure). Any issues with how that works with the lowering springs?

Looks fantastic!
I have the same questions as Westdw.

Before/After mockup for the masses to compare. Very bold, I hope everything works out long term, because it looks great. Makes the "before" almost look comical... lol. Like, "Why so high?! We jumping logs in the road now?"

So if you're in Canada, that link won't work...defaults to Canadian main page and the Cdn site doesn't seem to have them. Looks like those come with studs and lug nuts. So are you using your OEM lug bolts to attach the spacer to the hub, and using the lug nuts they come with on the wheel?

While they say studs are 12.9 grade, which is great, it is an unknown name and the spacers are not forged. I personally would not be very confident taking the risk with these on my vehicle, but that is just me. Trouble is, there are few quality hub centric spacers that are forged with lug bolts to fit our vehicle. However, we have the same specs as some Ferrari and Maserati models...go figure. Bonoss makes a really nice spacer, forged, with high grade strength lug bolts to fit our vehicles, so you can use stock bolts for the wheels as you normally would. But damn, USD$179 for a pair at 20mm, maybe cheaper on ebay. I would not hesitate getting the Bonoss for my summers, but don't need since my summer wheels are custom offset and flush. But not willing to dish out for my winter set just to have them more flush, which is what I was considering.

Anyway, although I would not do it to mine since I generally keep my vehicles 3-4 years, lowered looks great...not overdone like some pimped out vehicles.

This is just a temporary solution until I can find some aftermarket wheels with a custom offset (as you mentioned) so I won't need the spacers at that point. I just bought this car, and I wanted some immediate low-cost mods to hold me over until I get the new wider wheels and wider tires. I feel like I got a lot of bang for my buck on this - these mods have really transformed the look of this GV70.

To answer your question, about the OEM lug bolts - I'm not sure, but yes - I'd be willing to bet that is the case.

My next few Mods coming soon:
  • JB4 Installation
  • Adro Carbon Fiber: Front Lip, Rear Diffuser, and Roof Spoiler
    • I'm not getting the side skirts because I feel like the profile is so short, you won't even see it, especially with my exterior color
  • Full Chrome Delete

Did you have to use extended wheel studs with the spacers? If so can you share the information?
Negative.

Also, I just ordered some new 21-inch wheels: 9.5 Front and 10.5 Rear - The goal once I get them will be to remove the spacers and put 275s on the front, 315s on the rear and call it a day!

Now it's time to start installing my Adro Carbon Fiber package....
