  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone dealing with Rough Idle on cold starts around 1200 rpm. Once rpms drop as car warms, she runs perfectly fine. I notice recently sluggish a little bit on the acceleration when I hit it. Recently put me spark plugs in gapped correctly. Ngk irridium. Please help. 2014 3.8l

When was your MAP sensor replaced if known? Do you use any fuel injector additive? I use Lucas every every time I fill up unless I get BP fuel.

I've never replaced it. I purchased the car last year with 125k on it. She drove so damn smooth when I got her and still do after the rough idle of course. I'll change that tomorrow and give update. Thanks for feedback

I had the first MAP sensor changed by the dealer at about 75K miles so at 212K I am probably due for another. Plugs are original. Good luck and I hope it solves your issue.

MAF is the Mass Air Flow sensor. MAP is Mass Atmospheric Pressure sensor. Different manufacturers call them different names. I just went back thru my records and I didn't have the MAF sensor replaced, it was the PCV valve replaced. Sorry for leading you astray.
