2026 Genesis GV90 Spied As An Electric Range-Topping SUV | Carscoops

The GV90 follows in the footsteps of the GV80 and will likely be closed related to the Kia EV9

Spy photographers have snapped the Genesis GV90 taking a break from hot weather testing in Death Valley.


While the prototype is heavily disguised, it has a strong resemblance to the GV80. That being said, the GV90 is distinguished by a fully enclosed grille that echoes the one found on the Electrified GV70. We can also get a glimpse of vertical air curtains, a wide lower intake, and the company’s trademark quad lighting units.

Moving down the sides, we can see a sloping roof and an upward sweeping beltline. They’re joined by massive five-spoke wheels and a generous wheelbase that should provide an accommodating cabin with three rows of seating. The latter promises to be the big selling point as the GV80 only has 30.3 inches (770 mm) of third-row legroom.

Going to be the first HMG model on the new eM platform with improved batteries, so the range should be good enough for most.

Speaking of range, there was a cold weather range testing done in Scandinavia where the EV9's range was as good as the new M3 LR (unlike the M3, the EV9 had one of the lowest deviation from stated range).
