I am coming up on a year of having my worry free brand new luxury vehicle, Genesis GV80. I wanted something unique, not common and sexy. It’s kinda hard to find a vehicle that shows your personality. I did a lot of research and fell in love with the Genesis GV80. Unfortunately, enough that I can go to a dealership without any hassle having to negotiate and get what I want as we all are. I finally found the car that suited me. I was absolutely in love the service that I got the day that I had it. It was a smooth transition pretty much in and out. AND THEN……….. one day I was driving home from work had my car for three months. I got a powertrain notification on the dashboard first thing I did was go ahead and call customer service went ahead they opened up a claim. They were eager to go ahead and help me and then I went ahead and continuously hit walls. It took a month to get my car in the shop. I was afraid to drive it and I was advised not to drive it finally got to the dealership of course nothing was wrong with it they couldn’t find anything . Two days later, I go ahead and pick up my vehicle. They only drove it 6 miles I drive more than 6 miles. The notification came up on the dashboard.. I went ahead and just figured they didn’t find anything so maybe it was just a mishap maybe something went ahead and read wrong. Let it be went ahead a few months later turn around the powertrain notification came on in the dashboard then my crash notification came on. Mind you my car has never been hit. I’ve never been in an accident or anything like that so I opened up another claim. This was in October 2023 I explain to the case manager from Genesis (which mind you she was wonderful) the issues that I was having from the powertrain to the crash. The thumping sound that happens when I put it in reverse when I have it in park when it shifts then the one thing that was absolutely crazy all of my notifications on the dashboard were in Korean for two days. I went ahead and took a video sent it to him. No problem she said she insisted that I went ahead and I took my vehicle to Genesis in Virginia, where at the time I was working out of town. I was very hesitant brand new car now I have to leave it in a strange place and they drove it 8 miles. They found nothing. The information that I told the caseworker Genesis wasn’t even listed on receipt. Two days later after I went ahead and drove the loaner that they gave me another issues that I was having with my vehicle was going on with this vehicle but they said they didn’t find anything. I can’t make them find anything I again let it go. When I picked my vehicle up from the dealership it was damaged. Before I left the dealership I went ahead took pictures got the damages documented on their letterhead paper before I left the premises from November 2023 till January 2024 the Virginia dealership went ahead and gave the Genesis caseworker the runaround. They told her they contacted me and they didn’t they told her that they had to go ahead and look at surveillance which was doing nothing but buying them more time. Get home, and I have an appointment with the Maryland Genesis dealership. The Virginia dealership went ahead and reassured me that the damages were gonna be taken care of since I was having my vehicle in service at the Maryland dealership when it came time to go ahead and fix it. Nobody knew anything, my caseworker from Genesis go ahead and calls me back and tells me that I have to go ahead and fork out money and then they’ll reimburse me. I have been wrongfully done from November to February and they are asking me to go ahead and give money and I don’t think that I’m gonna go ahead and get my money back so I am screwed with Genesis. I don’t think that I will ever ever buy another vehicle from this dealership because their customer service is absolutely terrible. I really regret going ahead and taking the time to spend 84K To be treated the way I have. So at the end I’m stuck with a vehicle with issues and a brand new damaged vehicle. And all I’ve gotten is I’m sorry and I understand but doesn’t fix any of the issues.
