  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I searched the archives and saw a few posts about this, but no real conclusion on the fix. This started happening after the last software update. The HUD reverts back to the lowest position setting every time I start the car. Anybody have this issue and know what to do?

I don't know if the HUD is included in the driver settings. Worth a try. When you have it set to your liking, do a reset for Driver 1 and see if that sticks.

I tried that already, didn't work.

Yes it does. The brightness kept changing for me once I set it to what I wanted then set Driver 1, it stuck. Hopefully that works for OP.

Hmm, it should work..
This is DEFINITELY what you need to do to save the settings, at least in a 2019. They may have changed things with the refresh though (although I don't see why they would).

I will try it again. The whole physical display already needs to be adjusted because at the highest setting I still have to crane my neck to see it. This issue is just another one on top of that.

Ok, so I sat in the driveway, adjusted the HUD and saved it. I started and shut down the car several times and it never moved. This morning I start the car and leave for work, HUD is back at it's lowest position. So that didn't work.

Any other ideas?
