  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I need to replace front bumper cover 2015 genesis and wanted to know if it’s worth it to spend $$ on OEM?

I was rear-ended, and I believe the replacement bumper cover was aftermarket. I can't tell it from the original. Everything fits perfectly. How good of a body shop you use and how picky they are about paint matching is probably a bigger factor than original/aftermarket part.

Thank you for the reply.

When I needed a new bumper cover for my son's Maxima, I was able to get one online that was already painted. All in, it was around $400 and just needed to be swapped out.

Interesting. I have been looking but the reasonably priced ones come folded. Hear that it’s not that easy to unfold them . They get wrinkled and then it’s another issue. Still looking though. Thanks for sharing

I was skeptical about the folded bumper too. It was actually fine, and mine was painted already, so I was more concerned with cracking. Everything was fine.

Very encouraging. Thank you. Think I just might order one .
