If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looks great. I was gonna say paint the exhaust tips black, but upon further thought, they complement the wheels, so I personally would leave as is.

Hi,

I got the spacers and Bonoss says to TQ to 83.5ft lbs but never mentioned what the stock lugs need to be or if blue loctite is needed on the spacer lugs like other brands specify.

After 100 miles I plan to TQ the bolts again since it’s the first seating but in the end I wanted to know those two things please.

They look very stout and no regrets!
25mm R and 15mm F.

I can't speak to the torque, but why do the spacers have studs? When I communicated with Bonoss, they were going to supply spacers with no studs and bolts to bolt the spacers to the hub. (see my previous post) This would allow the use of stock lug bolts to bolt the wheel to the spacer. Is this what you're doing?

The Bonoss have the the same configuration as the ones I used. Since the stock lug bolts will need to be used to secure the spacer to the hub, the spacer nuts will be used to secure the wheel to the spacer - which results in the spacer nuts being visible from the outside (instead of the stock lug bolts).

For me, this was really low priority and not a big deal at all - however, I did look into getting some lug nuts similar to the following, which would easily resolve the issue:

Dynofit M14-1.5 Stock Lug Nuts

You’re saying our stock lugs will be used on the spacer itself? Wouldn’t they be too long and hit the rim hence to use the Bonoss nuts?

The Bonoss lugs look stubby to fit below the spacer so the wheel won’t hit them or the stud depending on the spacer size you got. I got the 15F and 25R and suppose the front could be my only concern if any?

Update, just watched a few Bonoss videos and they always use thier lugs on the spacer.

Those DynoFit lugs look like good replacement for the factory lugs though especially since ours rust easy.

My 15 and 25mm spacers both came with studs inserted and with stubby lugs.

Maybe anything lesser than 15mm might not come with it ?

You can get them with no studs and bolts instead from bonoss to bolt the spacers to the hub, then use stock lug bolts to mount your wheels. Think I provided links in third or fourth post. That would be my preference if I was going to buy spacers.

OK…all done (pics below). I bought 15mm and 20mm spacers off amazon. The stock lug bolts were too big to use. They didn’t allow the wheels to seat gains the spacers. Plus, the spacers were not the ball seat. So bought M14x1.5x26 conical head lug bolts (a little shorter to ensure they didn’t go out the back end. Then I bought black acorn lug nuts with ball seat (of course the ones that came with the spacers were conical) to match up with the ball seat stock rims. Mounted the spacers and torque to 115 ftlb. Need a big screwdriver to put through one of the holes in the front rotors so you can lock them to torque them, otherwise they just spin. Then mount the wheels and again torque to 115 ftlb. Wasn’t as cheap as I thought in the end: $83 spacers, $90 lug nuts, $62 lug bolts…but I know it’s done right and is safe. Put the stock lug bolts in a box in case I ever remove the spacers. Pics:

So, I just got this all worked out and made a 2 part video to give everyone a visual and how it all works. It’s a no frills video.

I went with 15mm Bonoss for the front with extended lugs to give me 8 full turns.

The rear I used Bonoss 25mm which has new lugs and the spacer also bolts to the hub due to it being so big and here I also got 8 full turns on all of it.

After about 100miles I need to toque all bolts again to ensure good seating.

Hope this helps others considering doing this.

BTW the 15/25 combo seems ideal to make the 21’s flush with fenders. Now I just need to toss those Storm springs in.

Thank you for the information. I have a G80 Sport Prestige with the same wheel in 20" form. This thread has helped tremendously. I will be going with 15mm front and 20mm rear. Do you have links to the Lug Bolts you ordered along w/ the link to the spacers? Thank you!

Update... I think I answered my own question. I had to read back through the thread and found the initial post from Lucky11. I would like someone to confirm

Spacers: https://www.bonoss.com/product/bono...for-maserati-granturismo-mc-s-sport-2007-2019

Lug Bolts: https://www.bonoss.com/product/bonoss-extended-wheel-bolts-maserati-cai

Thread around Lug Bolt Sizes showing that the OEM Geneses 40mm and an aftermarket 30mm are the same... Wheel bolts for winter wheels

For the 15mm spacer I will need a 45mm extended Lug Bolt from the link above using the R13 purple Ball Seat.
For the 20mm spacer I will need a 50mm extended Lug Bolt using the R13 purple ball seat.

Is this correct?

Thank you,
Robert

So I have been pricing out Bonoss spacers (now that they have them for the GV70) in 15mm all around for my winter set up. For Canada, pricing is nuts. For four bolt through spacers with lugs, its USD$400, plus shipping, plus they admit possibility of customs and duty charges, then convert it all to CAD, so about CAD $600 (presuming I don't get dinged with duties). Absolutely ridiculous. While Bonoss seems like a really good quality spacer, I simply cannot justify it for daily driving. Track use? Maybe.

So, I was looking locally, and 4 Wheel Spacers also has forged anodized spacers, and guess what 4 spacers and lugs will cost? A whopping CAD $160, and free shipping from within NA for Black Friday (50% off). The question is fitment. The spacers are for Maserati and will fit, the lug bolt is correct thread, but not sure its the right length. If I get get them in the right length, this is the direction I am taking.

BONOSS has a 18% off black Friday discount code that I used this morning .... bca18

Aware, but barely puts a dent in the cost. My arguments stand that Bonoss' extra CAD $266 even with discount, which does not include the taxes I am likely to get dinged with once they come over the border, is still no where near worth the cost.

4 Wheel Spacers just confirmed they can swap the Maserati lug 14 x 1.5mm bolts with the proper length for GV70 and these spacers, and ball seat rather than conical, to fit my stock wheels for same price. That's CAD $226 out the door, tax and shipping included, for forged and black anodized 17 mm spacers, black lug bolts with 17 mm head rated at 12.9, highest strength. Can't beat that for a bit better aesthetics with my 19" OEMs for winter. My summer wheels have custom offset with no spacers required.

If it helped any I had a full set new in box Bonoss spacers and bolts for sale on marketplace place very cheap. They are for the GV70 I had but I went with another setup so I never used them.

And if anyone wants them, make me an offer and I’ll ship them out since they are only collecting dust now.

This thread has been super helpful so thank you all for that...Any chance these are still for sale? I would love to try them on my 2021 G80 to get as close to flush as possible....

GV70SP24 - I would have sent you a PM, but it either looks like this board doesn't offer that ability or I just can't seem to figure it out...

Thanks!
