  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all, I've decided to sell my 2014 Genesis R-Spec with 115,000 miles, 2 owners, 0 accidents, brand new battery, new brakes, relatively new Pirelli tires (10k miles/50k mile warranty), no body panel dents (3 door dings), no major mechanical issues, California car. Are there any suggestions for getting the best resale price other than private party? Looking for less hassle.

KBB and Edmunds both say the car is worth about $5,000 trade-in, $6,000-9,000 private sale, but I'm seeing some R-Specs with similar miles on the market for 10-13k.

The 5.0 R-Spec seems like a rarity, so I was hoping to get a bit more for it than the KBB/Edmunds low-ball estimate.

I got a quote from Carmax and Carvana. Both super low - like $4k.
Funny, I just sold Carvana my ‘12 Genesis 3.8 Premium model in February for close to $9,000. Mine had low mileage circa 60,000. It was pristine.
