Best Tire Shine to use?

I am trying to find the best tire shine out there? been using Maguires for such a long time, but i keep seeing products that say they last for a long time, through rain and washes...any one have experience with products like that? upsides? downsides?

I've tried most of them on the market and the one I like by far (for ease of use and longevity) is CarPro Dark Side. Once applied (it takes about 1 minute per tire) it should last you 3-4 weeks depending on the amount of rain you get. One bottle has lasted me a year. Here's a link.

I use armor all tire foam (spray on an applicator then to tire). Seems to work good and last a while. Not really a wet look but clean and black for a week or two.

This is a somewhat difficult question to answer.

Most people have a specific product that they like and will recommend. Professional detailers for the most part will not agree on what is best to use.

Even above you've got Maguiars (your current use product), CarPro (higher end product so tends to be more expensive), and Armor All (most detailers will not use nor recommend any Armor All products because of what is in them and the residue etc. that they leave).

I have used various ones and I have found that I like Meguiars ultimate all wheel cleaner which also has an iron remover in it (it can also be used on the paint if you are doing any polishing/corecting). Also lots of good reviews on Suds Lab T3 tire and trim dressing (plus it is one of the better products as far as price). But, there are many others (chemical guys, turtle wax, Adam's polishes, Griot's Garage etc.

Plus there are other factors that are involved.

Do you want a wet/shiny look?
Do you want a dull look?
How bad is overspray?
What is the climate like where you live?
How often and how do you wash (type of car soap etc.) your car.

The below link is a pretty good vid where about 12 different brands/products are reviewed. The part I found interesting is that most greatly exaggerate how long they will last.

Nice. I grew up outside of Boston so, I know New England weather well. As most of these products are fairly similar, if I was you, I would probably stick with Maguiars. They are a well known company that makes good products. Again, not sure if you watched the video but other than the things I mentioned, there is not a whole lot of difference between them. Professional detailers will in most cases use higher end products (or their own which they offer for sale) but for them it is a business. DIYers are a different breed. We do it because we love our cars.

As you mentioned, the other option is to try different ones when you need to buy another bottle. One that I mentioned that I am personally going to try is the Suds Lab t3. It has very good reviews, is readily available in Walmart and is very reasonably priced especially for how much product you get. As a side, Suds Lab products were developed by I believe a couple of detailers.

But as I've said, this is just my opinion. I am sure others would recommend the product that they use or have used.
