  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Had to take my car in to get serviced because the front drivers seat a/c would not stay on for more than 2 or 3 seconds. I initially called what was then Genesis of Loma Linda but was told they would be opening a new stand alone facility in a few weeks. The rep said if you want, I can put you on our list and call you when the new stand alone dealership was open.

A week or so later I get a call back and booked an appointment for the following week. From start to finish I had an exceptional experience with the service provided. When I booked, I told them I would need a loaner and they said that would not be an issue. I brought the vehicle in and was immediately seen. Once all the check in was done, they gave me a loaner. The whole process was quite simple.

The repair itself took about 3 weeks or so because a part had to be orderd. However I didn't mind the wait because the loaner was a 2024 GV80 Sport that had 32 miles on it. So I had a new vehicle to use while mine was being repaired. If any wants it, I can do a comparison on my thoughts on a 21 G80 3.5T prestige VS the 24 GV80.

The service adviser Vincent was outstanding. He kept me informed via either text messages, emails or phone calls throughout the whole process. When I picked up the car, he waited while I checked the vehicle to make sure it was fixed to my satisfaction.

From this experience, I will now be bringing my vehicle here for any and all servicing that is required and, would have no issues with recommending them to others.

As a side, I was told I was their first customer for service. Ooh I'm number one!

Here are a few pics of the dealership. The first one is my vehicle.

This has been my view for years. Just give me a quality loaner and I am willing to wait for them to get to my car. Sounds like you have a good dealership there.

Wow. That place looks palatial compared to the dump I patronize in Colorado Springs. I don't care about the free ding-dongs but a service manager who can force a smile and feign interest in my issue would be refreshing. They can't/won't get the parts for the 3.3t recall and aren't ashamed to flout it.

Funny add on story.

After doing the check in, I walked around and took pics. The service adviser actually became a tour guide. He asked if I wanted any coffee and being an old Marine, I never say no to a cup of Joe. Well the machine they have is a very large complicated coffee/espresso machine. I said I don't drink what I call Foo foo drinks and really just wanted a black coffee. I ended up with 3 individuals including I believe the manager trying to find in the menu just black but no one had any luck. Vincent the service adviser then says we have another machine upstairs. So even though I told him it wasn't a big deal, he takes me upstairs and we try and get one there. But again, no luck. I thought they were actually going to go to a store to get me a cup of regular black coffee. I finally said don't worry about it, I'm good.

In the end, they said they would look into getting a simple coffee machine like a Keurig or something similar.

Now that was service. I may go there just for coffee. 😂

The Genesis Edmonton South (Alberta Canada) looks similar to yours but maybe smaller. My experience with the Sales and Service in Edmonton has all been great. They book about a week out and I have been given GV80's as loner cars.

That's great to hear. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come everywhere. It would definitely raise the brand status.
