Anyone have issues with the finish/paint peeling off the Waffle wheels?
These wheels have only been used in the summer, stored inside in a heated garage and have 17,000km on them. Only happening with one wheel.
Mine is in now to get them recoated under warranty 3 of 4 wheels.Anyone have issues with the finish/paint peeling off the Waffle wheels?

All four have peeled. Getting a recoat.I don’t have the waffle but the 2.5T prestige wheels and all of mine are peeling. Some worse than others. Waiting to hear back from my Genesis service guy about Genesis approving the refinish. It looks to me like the clear coat is failing. Never had this happen on any other car.
Eventually all four of my Waffle wheels were repainted under warranty. Obviously an issue.I know this is old but wanted to add my experience. I have had 2 separate appointments to fix two wheels at a time over the past year. So, 4 wheels have been repainted, can't say if any were repeats or if it was all 4. This past week I noticed another wheel flaking. They didn't skimp out on much for these vehicles, but painting vs powder coating they did.
Correction, just looked at all my wheels. TWO wheels are flaking
My window mouldings have been replaced twice. I don’t keep a car long enough to get too fussy other than cleaning frequently. Wheels were repainted.Repainted or powder coated? Hopefully the latter. Paint will not last nearly as long. I have not had any issues with my 19" wheels, and I use them strictly in winter with all the road salt and sand they use on the roads here.
Curious, those that have or had issues, did you ceramic coat your wheels? I just use a spray ceramic on mine. I reapply after taking them off in spring and cleaning them up, then a coat or two just before putting them on. Seems to last the winter. Might help. I ceramic coated my tinted chrome trim immediately after delivery and after over 2 years, have never had any tarnishing issues that many others have experienced.
Neither do I...4 years max, but I still try to keep it as pristine as possible regardless. I would not pay to have it ceramic coated for that reason...never get my money back. Having said that I’ve had my BMW 40 years and pickup 47. Both like new. Daily drivers not so long.Neither do I...4 years max, but I still try to keep it as pristine as possible regardless. I would not pay to have it ceramic coated for that reason...never get my money back. Did it myself.
Better get it soon. I’ve had the window mouldings replaced twice and all 4 wheels repainted. All 4 wheels have large areas of clear coat flaking off our '22 GV70. Also, the black trim around the windows/doors is looking weird. The dealership has denied me, but I've opened a case with Genesis Customer Services, so I will see what they say.
