  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My car engine would not turn off for 7 hours it continuously ran, I’m wondering has anyone else experienced this issue and these door handles come right off in your hand I’ve had to have two outside door handles replaced and I’ve had 2 undershields replaced at $1100 a piece, I’m not happy with the quality of this vehicle

So, you pressed the start/stop button and nothing happened?
Did you also try pressing and holding the button for several seconds?
Does it/has it ever not responded to the button press when you were trying to start it?
Did it run out of gasoline to stop, or did you find another way to stop it?

How would you stop an engine today? Stuff the air intake? Years ago I'd have just pulled the wire from coil to distributor.

I did hear of another case (not a Genesis) and he drove to the dealer.

One thought would be to pull the fuel pump fuse, but I don't know if the HPFP on the engine would still be able to suck the fuel out of the tank or not.
Pulling the ignition fuse should be a certainty, but maybe could cause a ring to get washed down?
It would probably be best to find the fuse for the fuel injectors. If you can't find it, blocking the air intake as you suggest might be the safest option.
